If you can't afford to stay at Mohonk Mountain House (and who can?) this is your best choice for the New Paltz area. Modern, clean and convenient to Rt. 87, and minutes from the shops and restaurants of New Paltz. The lobby includes a pool table and computer for guest use, a small fitness room, and laundry facilities as well... more

I've been Staying at the Super 8 Motel in New Paltz for over 10 years. It's always my first choice when I'm in town. This modest motel is always clean, well maintained, and the staff is very friendly. Returning this weekend for my second visit this month. Queens, NY more

We travel to New Paltz where our son goes to college and have stayed here several times (after a hellish stay at the Econolodge/strip club last year). While not fancy it is clean and very affordable. Location is right off NYS thruway but the rooms are quiet and the windows OPEN! The staff has always been very helpful and nice.... more

This motel has never let me down. I've been going there for over 15 years on business and personal trips. You get what you pay for, and the rooms are quiet and clean. Don't expect the Ritz. As for our smoking rooms we certainly try our best to remove any smell that may occure from a previous smoker, however, we do inform guests that if you are a non-smoker... There may be a chance you may smell some smoke if you must stay in a smoking room....

The Super 8 in New Paltz, New York, is currently undergoing EXTENSIVE renovations. However, they fail to mention that to people who book rooms with them. This place is a ridiculous travesty. The room had bed bugs and hair all over the mattress. In addition, the manager was extremely rude. Does he not realize this is the HOSPITALITY business? If he can't get with the program, he might as well find a new job. STAY AWAY!! more

It's a Super 8 motel, but it really isn't that bad. It's better than the Econo Lodge, which is down the street next to a strip club! I had a good nights stay. The rates weren't bad for a weekend and were better than the Econo, who wanted to charge almost twice as much! The clerk even reduced the rate... more

This place is a rip off. The rooms are old, and have outdated furniture. Thier exercise room consists of 2 machines! I stayed at the 87 motel for 1/8th the price and got THE SAME ROOM. Stay away from this mess. more

We are currently improving all furnishings in our motel. Our exercise room does included two machines, a treadmill and an exercise bike for those guests that would like to maintain a their lifestyle. It also includes a set of free weights with an incline, flat, and decline bench. Please consider we are not a motel consisting of hundreds of rooms....
