My boyfriend and I went on a two week trip to Greece in mid May 2008. We decided to go to Athens and one island. We went to the island of Santorini. We settled on Old Oia Houses in the town of Oia based on the reviews I had read on this site. We were not dissapointed. We took the... more

My travel buddy did the research and booked this traditional room. When we got there, we had to find the restaurant "Lotsa" to get the key to the room. A guy named Marco showed us to our room (which is really a separate traditional house type room). Luckily we had room #1. Right off the path. I recommend you ask... more

Stayed here mid May. The weather was nice during our stay. It was not too hot. During the evenings it would get very windy but would calm down by 11 at night. The room: We booked the studio. It was the first one right next to the walkway. We were happy because lugging your luggage around Oia isnt very pleasant.... more

My husband and I and our two friends stayed at old oia house on early June. We found it through santorini.com, the most important reason we chose it as our three days' home on Santorini island is the breathtaking view showing on its website. Luckily, we got a house as we expected, a typical cave house, with two seperated bedrooms... more

my stay at the old oia houses was undescribable! oia itself is beautiful...but the room i stayed in made my visit to this unique island perfect. I had a fantastic view of the caldera and inevitably I watched the amazing sunset every afternoon whilst sipping my drink, enjoying the afternoon breeze. The room inside consisted of everything one would need,... more

My husband and I absolutely loved Oia - and our vacation was made that much better by staying at Old Oia houses. You couldn't ask for a better view, sipping wine on the porch looking out on the caldera. Our room had two beds to choose from, and a small cook element in case we wanted to fix a meal... more

we really liked old oia houses. the view was so beautiful, the price was right and the people who run the joint are super nice. we had stayed previously at the Zoe Aegean rooms and had an awful experience. she charges an outrageous price--130 euros per night and for that you get nothing special. at old oia, we paid 80... more

We (two women) were asked to wait in the restaurant for some time before being shown to our "house". This turned out to be one quite large room with a bathroom. Our house is the last photo on the oldoiahouses website. And yes, the dog IS included! He hopped over the gate and had a rest on our patio the... more

What a great find in Oia. My family of four and I had the most incredible week in this traditional cave house. The views were breathtaking. Who says Santorini is not for children? My children had an adventure and a wonderful life experience. The room was clean and the owners were very kind and couldn't help us enough! Excellent location.... more

Old oia houses has around 5 flats with terrible views over the Caldera, ideal for romantic diners and late conversations. If you want to have an idea, check my blog: http://mathieucolas.typepad.com/matious_blob/ Pros: - Great view, one of the best in Oia - Flats are typical and are quite charming - Instant access to village center and stairs to the beach... more
