We arrived in town and looked for a place. I checked several and this was N$300, which was quite reasonable. 2007 was the second time my family and I returned to Patzcuaro for Day of the Dead. This is a wonderful time to experience Patzcuaro and Los Escudos is well located on the main square. Stayed at this hotel for one night the Thursday before the Day of the Dead 2006. I spent 2 weeks in Michoacan on that trip and this was the cheapest hotel I stayed at. It was also was also one of the best. Clean room with plenty of light. A very cozy feel. I would definately stay there again. more

We had a cozy room overlooking a beautiful court yard. Spent 3 nights there and wouldnt hesitate to recomend it to anyone. Very authentic mexico hotel. more
