We thoroughly enjoyed our brief visit to Lynchburg and our night at Federal Crest Inn...conveniently located downtown, just a few blocks from shopping and restaurants. The Inn is roomy, tastefully decorated, and inviting. Ann and Phil Ripley make perfect hosts...we were given the "Cook's Tour" upon arrival. We booked the property having seen only their website, and were planning to use it as nothing more than a home base for our visit to Lynchburg. Once we checked in, that changed! We returned from our trip to Virginia last week staying at various Inns and hotels during our three week stay. From the moment we arrived at The Federal Crest Inn we were made to feel extremely welcome and at home. We came to the area to see our grandson play in the Dixie Youth Baseball World Series. The accommodations at Federal Crest were quiet and peaceful with excellent conversations with our hosts, Ann & Phil. The good reccomendations were right on target as suggested to us. We spent one night at the Federal Crest in late July. The accomodations were exactly as advertised on the website. The house is beautiful and the location is very convenient in the historic area of Lynchburg. Ann and Phil were very gracious and attentive hosts. We will definitely stay at Federal Crest whenever we visit Lynchburg in the future! more

Absolutelly lovely and a terriffic B & B.
