After hearing wonderful things about Semiahmoo over the years, we decided to give it a try. The setting is spectacular, and the amenities take full advantage of it. But the hotel is showing its age, or the owners don't care. The room was nice, large, bright light, big bath, great armchair, but when it came time to sleep the Queen... more

Every hotel gets the big things right. The difference between a great place and a so-so place are the little details. Semiahmoo misses the little things that would have made it special. My take home impression from my stay was that the owners said "look, we built a pretty building in an absolutly beautiful location, nothing else for us to... more

Let's see... Where to begin here. Sales staff lied about the suites we were getting, or they changed it. Two of my coworkers got food poisoning. The drinks were watered down. The entire staff there we worked with was snotty and unresponsive to our complaints. Location is hard to find. The only positive was the spa was nice. There are... more

We just returned from an overnight getaway at Semiahmoo. We chose the resort based on the hour plus drive from home, their pet policy and what looked like a top quality restaurant. The hotel manager did allow our dog who is bigger than their pet policy allows, that was the only positive thing about our stay. We booked the Waterview... more

We stayed at Semiahmoo in 2001 and enjoyed all it had to offer. When we were looking for a place to celebrate our daughter's 30th birthday it came to mind as a fun place for all of us to go for the party. But, after reading all the previous reviews, we weren't too sure we should return. We are writing... more

We are Club Intrawest members and booked this 2-night getaway through Extraordinary Escapes. I am just now reading a review from 2007 where the reviewer wrote, "The facilities were clearly expensive to build and the location is unique. The hotel service was very disappointing. . . . I think semiahmoo used to be a real gem, but it isn't anymore."... more

We had such a wonderful experience here! Our room was beyond our expectations, service was prompt and effiecient, and the weather even cooperated! The restaurant food was delicious and piano entertainment made this an exceptional stay. more

Thank God for GPS - if you've not been to Semiahmoo before, make sure you know where you're going. If you try and get here at night expect pitch-dark conditions on little back roads. The effort is well worth it though, this is a very unique location. Pretty much what you would expect from a 5-star property - and it... more

We just stayed at the resort this past weekend. We were there as part of a conference and had a wonderful time. The hotel is very nice overall with warm and inviting furnishings, the lobby with the open beamed ceilings and super comfortable couches was very welcoming. We explored the property and were impressed at how elegant the decor is,... more

My GF's company booked the resort for the weekend for a company get-together so we felt obligated to go and enjoy a free weekend at a resort. The place was just perfect. Great service by the doormen, the valet, the front desk, the wait staff, and even the bartenders. The place was clean, our room was older, but still a... more
