We stayed at the Resortquest Shores at Waikoloa from July 21-the 26th. We had a great time!! We aren't big "resort" people, and knew we wanted to spend most of our time driving around exploring the Big Island. The Shores was perfect for us!! There's not too much going on right on the property (although the pool and hot tub... more

We stayed in March 2008 at The Shores and were thrilled. Had a 1st floor condo in the back, so the kids had a yard to play in, and it was quiet. The gated area was so quiet, after a long day of swimming, etc...it was nice to come back to a quiet place to relax. Our condo was very... more

My husband and I visited the Big Island for our 25th wedding anniversary from 3-7-08 thru 3-14-08. We stayed at The Shores at Waikoloa. We loved everything about the property. We booked our whole trip thru Costco and got a very good deal. From what I understand most of the condos are individually owned and they rent them out. We... more

We stayed at the shores with a few friends for several days. We were very pleased with the property, the space of our suite, and the location. For that area, which is filled with pricy luxury hotels, the shores is a great deal and quite nice. Our neighbors were all quiet and one even let us borrow a cork screw... more

Great rooms. We tsyaed in a one bedroom that was upgraded to two bedroom when we checked in. Big two bedroom unit with huge rooms, nice kitchen and well-kept though old utilities. Concierge service was nice. Overall very pleasant experience. more

We stayed at 3 separate locations on our 9 day trip to the Big Island. We chose ResortQuest Shores at Waikoloa for our last night as it was close to the airport, much more so than our previous night’s stay in Volcano. What a complete disappointment. These places appear to have been built in the 80s and nearly everything in... more

We stayed in unit 321 at the Shores. After reading the mixed reviews I was a little reluctant to book a room at this hotel, but somehow I found the unit 321 advertised on the internet by its owner, AJ. He himself manages this particular unit and we booked it directly with him through waikoloacondo.com That way we knew exactly... more

We stayed at this hotel starting October 6, 2007 for five nights, and we loved it. It has a nice setting, beautiful lush gardens. The grounds are carefully manicured, nicely tended to, the golf course just nearby. The closes beach was near the Marriott, just minutes away by car. Their pool looked smallish; we haven’t used it busy with the... more

If you are looking for a place to vacation with the comforts of home…look no further. We stayed in a 2/2 condo unit and were pleasantly surprised upon entering the courtyard. A water fountain (see pics) and a flower garden greeted us as we headed toward the elevator. Each tower has three levels; we were on the third floor (see... more

I stayed at the Shores in the first week of January 2007. I was lucky in getting a third floor unit in great condition. It was nicely decorated and altogether pleasant. There was a washer-dryer (which I did not use) and a full kitchen. The old electric stove was a dinosaur but perfectly adequate for my needs. I liked the... more
