The Beresford is a great option if you want a nice, affordable location near Union Square. The staff was extremely helpful, and the room was very clean, comfortable, and well-appointed. Older hotel, a bit run down... but in a great location for launching your day in SF. We stayed there for a weekend, no problems at all. Enjoyed the free breakfast in the morning to get your day started. more

stayed there for 8 nights. clean, if a bit run-down hotel. good location, few blocks up from union square. breakfast was minimal; day-old pastries, fresh fruit and coffee. wlan did not work properly except on the first day. good value for money though. more
