Excellent location, 5 mins walk to Times Square, 5 mins to Central Park and 10 - 15 mins to most of the other attractions. Staff really friendly & helpfull only complaint was the room was boiling hot, you could put fans on but it was so noisy and or room was right next to the boilers or whatever they were,... more

The Hotel Wellington was great. As reported in previous reviews the hotel is old and small but these are the only two strikes that I could find. I found the age of the hotel charming and from what I am told the size is pretty typical for NY. We like the room to be cold and it was nice having... more

My boyfriend and I stayed her for 4 nights over St.Patrick's day and we loved it. It is so close to lots of major tourist attractions. It is a few minutes walk from central park, time square and fifth avenue. The hotel is lovely and very well kept. The rooms are quite basic, but we were rarely in our room,... more

We stayed at the Wellington Hotel as part of a short break package deal. There was a choice of three hotels but you could request which you stayed at if you booked early enough. After a bit of internet research we chose the Wellington and (after seeing the other two once we got there) were really pleased that we did.... more

This hotel would have the smallest rooms i have ever seen in a hotel. A double bed and one chair took up the whole room. The bathroom was so small the toilet seat would not go done or up with a roll of toilet paper on the dispenser. No bar fridge and no ice machines available . You had to... more

Like many others on here, it was my first time to New York and I read many reviews of NY hotels before finally selecting the Wellington. It is true the rooms are a little dated, small bathroom, but the price was the most reasonable of all. We had breakfast every morning in Central Park as it's just up the street... more

I booked two Queen rooms for 3 nights midweek in Sept and had both confirmation #'s in hand when we arrived at 6:35pm. Agent told us they had no Queen rooms, so they kindly upgraded us to a newly renovated Mini suite on the 26th floor (great view) but had to downgrade my daughter's room to a twin. They did... more

I booked a night at the Wellington through priceline (named my own price) after having stayed in a hell-hole the night before (the St Marks Hotel), so after that experience, this place felt like paradise!! First of all, the size of the rooms for the price was a pleasant surprise-- in New York, most hotels in this price range are... more

We stayed 12 nights at The Wellington and have re-booked for another 12 nights next February. Coming from Australia to get married, I was a bit disapointed (and worried) when this was the hotel selected for us on Priceline. However, the staff were great and although the interior is a bit dated, our overall experience was a very good one.... more
