An amazing honeymoonAbsolutely beautiful hotel with fantastic rooms. Staff was courteous and pleasant. Very near to the University of Pennsylvania campus. more
I recently stayed here for a 2 day seminar at Wharton. The service was very good and I was given free wifi access for being a Hilton Gold Member. The bar area was very nice, but we had to beg them to send someone to serve us. Overall, it was a decent hotel and I would stay here again. more
"Hilton Inn at Penn" is a bit misleading; it's the Inn at Penn and it's run by Hilton, and if anything that's even better. Trust that if the University of Pennsylvania owns something, it will be done right--and this hotel is no exception. As others have noted, the elegant and understated Arts & Crafts furnishings and the proximity to Penn... more
We found the Inn at Penn through the "One Big Campus" website promoting Philly-area colleges. The 'discounted' rate of $225 was the same as the Expedia rate, but no matter, it was good value for the money. Exceptionally courteous reception from bellman and valet parking guy. This is easily the nicest hotel in University City, but also the priciest. If you can afford it, the convenience to Penn can't be beat. The hotel and rooms are comfortable, staff is great. The style is mostly authentic mission, much better than most chains. Public spaces include a nice library/bar. Hilton will also take internet advance requests for special... more
we came there in the afternoon and the staff was really nice. it's a good hotel for a city trip. central and quite. more
My review is a bit biased since we were upgraded to a Junior Suite when we booked a standard room using HHonors points. The breakfast is great! The room service food is superb. Penne, the Italian restaurant, has a good menu and good food, nice atmosphere, but our waiter hated being at work that day - we wished we had... more
My husband and I stayed here for one night this September when we saw Interpol play at the Tower Theatre. We chose this theatre because of the positive reviews, its proximity to the theatre and its price. The hotel's location is beautiful - very close (basically inside) the U of Penn campus. Walking distance to many nice restaurants (we ate... more
Stay in Philly 1 to 2 times per year for eight years. Couryard by Marriott is the only hotel we have been to more than once until we found the Inn at Penn. It is a VERY NICE hotel. We would prefer a wonderful B&B but can not find one in Philly. This hotel is the next best thing. IT... more
As one poster noted previously, this is a great location when visiting students at UPenn or Drexel, but it is a distance from the city and tourist areas. The station for the underground "trolley" is only two blocks away, so it's easy to get downtown for a $2 fare. The hotel is lovely, with an art deco interior. The staff... more
