If I'm ever anywhere near Philadelphia, you can bet I'll stay at the Morris House. Pleasant staff, beautiful quarters. And the beds were so comfortable! I've stayed there twice now, once in the suite adjoining, and once on the 3rd floor. Now I've got to warn you, there is no elevator, so lugging your suitcase up 3 flights of stairs... more

My room was spacious and nicely furnished. The best thing was the bed – by far the softest, most comfortable hotel bed I've ever experienced. Simply heaven for someone like me who tends to find hotel beds insufferably hard. That would be reason enough for me to return. The breakfast, though, is another matter. I felt cheated by the ridiculously... more

We used to live a few blocks from the Morris House, so on a recent return trip to Philadelphia we decided to revisit our old neighborhood and stay in the B&B for one night. It's a beautifully restored house that backs on to Washington Square and is within a five minute walk of the Liberty Bell. However, it's definitely not... more

Although the hotel is beautiful, the service is by far the worst I have ever experienced in my life. It's unprofessional and mediocre and worse than being in an Adams Family show (see the review by a TripAdvisor member on 6/5/05) I am not the type of person who complains a lot but what I had to endure at Morris... more

From beginning to end my sister and I enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The staff was very nice, helpful and we found the hotel room very clean and nicely decorated. We felt the value was very good. We recommend to anyone and would stay there again. more

This is a beuatiful building in an excellent location. We walked nearly everywhere we went. The room was beautifully furnished and the bathroom was elegant. The garden is lovely. It would be a great place for a small wedding. There is no elevator so be sure to get a room on the lower floors if you have alot of luggage.... more

Much like the previous guests, the rooms were lovely and very clean. But the feeling of the staff was more like a large hotel chain. They seemed very preoccupied. Not friendly, just doing a job. We stayed on the third floor and shelpped our bags up by ourselves, even though a staff member was escorting us to the room. It's... more

The building is beautiful and the room was immaculately clean and well furnished but the service was, at best, mediocre. It seemed that the staff was always in a hurry to be done with us – as though we were a bother to them. Also, when it came time to check out, there was no place to park the car... more

We spent New Year's Eve at the Morris House Hotel and loved it. We were in the addition next to the main house in, what I am assuming, would be called the "Extended Stay Suite." Contrary to the earlier review (unless they were in a different room), the room was quite large, with a huge and brand new bathroom, spotless... more

The Morris House Hotel is an above average B&B. I was in Philadelphia for work, and needed to be close to Society Hill. It was ideal for that. I stayed in room 202, and it was very pleasant; a large room, with lots of books, and a good bed. The bathroom is a little small for such a large room;... more
