Just got back from a 3 night stay. This hotel is about 25 minute cab ride from airport. Had a comped room through Harrah's. Stayed in the smaller tower, room was good size, clean and quiet. Note they do not allow rollaways due to fire issues (at least this is what we were told) so we were 2 adults and... more

You get what you pay for. Book a room on the executive level. Yes, it's more expensive but so worth it. Executive level lounge is beautiful with beautiful views. No matter where we went in the hotel EVERYONE, and I mean anyone you came in contact with at the hotel was as pleasant and helpful as they could possibly be.... more

I recently stayed at the Hilton Riverside during a girls weekend get away for my birthday. The staff was friendly (there was one female bartender at the lobby bar that was awesome) and the location was great. It was just blocks away from the French Quarter and just across the street from the Harrah's casino. However, the rooms were a... more

Nice hotel but they charge for everything -- $1 a bag for the bellhop...$13 to use the gym...$12 for internet access. Makes me crazy to pay Hilton rates and then have to pay for the gym! We also stayed at the hilton by the airport...just as nice...and not so many extra fees more

I attended a conference in new orleans and had arranged for a late night arrival. Upon arrival in 9:00 p.m., the Hilton had sold my room, along with over 20 other people. We were farmed out to other hotels. I left my camera in the room and it disappeared during the time I was at the conference. The HIlton has... more

We stayed at the Hilton Riverside, in New Orleans, for a conference in 2006. It was very nice, and the staff was great, very friendly and helpful. Rooms were very clean and spacious. There was a wonderful roof top Executive Lounge for guests staying on the 29th floor and up, where they served a lovely complimentary continental breakfast, and then cocktails... more

Was staying in NO for three days for a conference and was hoping to get a bargain near the French Quarter. I got more than I bargained for with the Hilton Riverside. My room was very spacious and clean.. I think it was one of the newly remodeled ones. After reading the reviews on this site.. when I checked in... more

Stayed here in March '08 with my husband for a conference. The parking lot (self park) is a dump. Very dark parking garage with tiny tiny spaces. Or you can valet your car for $34/per day. Yes, $34.00 a day!!! They boast the workout facility as being top notch- and it is very nice, but again costs extra $10 per... more

We have stayed at various Hilton properties each year when visiting for Jazz Fest (and occasionally Halloween). As far a New Orleans goes, I am partial to Uptown, but in terms of the downtown hotels where most folks like to stay for convenience reasons, the Hilton Riverside is likely the least bang for you buck. Even with top-tier, Diamond Hilton... more

As expected for a Hilton: A big, impersonal hotel that was perfectly adequate for a short business trip. Small room with nice view of the river. Clean and well kept, with a comfortable bed. Nice (but predictably overprices) breakfast buffet. Singularly unhelpful and poorly informed concierge who did little more than give me phone numbers for restaurants, instead of making... more
