I have to say that this place is an excellent value and if you can't afford to pay more then you will be very happy. It's clean and in a fantastic location. It reminded me very much of a European pensione. But I do wish I would have sprung for a more expensive place where I could have had my... more

My wife and I, plus a lady friend, stayed here for 3 nights after an Alaska cruise/land tour. We like suite hotels in cities because after dragging around the city all day, the ladies are usually too tired to go out again looking for restaurants, so I go out and 'forage' for food and drink, which we can then have... more

I stayed in this lovely pensione for a week in June-July 2008. It is a lovely bed and breakfast, tucked away beside the Pike Place Market in Seattle. When I first approached the low key entry (look out of the sign of the little Moroccan serving coffee), I had no idea of the delightful interior to come. I climbed 2... more

If you have stayed in a pension before and had a bad experience, give this one a chance. We stayed in a pension last year in Berlin and the only good things were the friendly hosts and the location. Therefore, I was apprehensive when my husband booked this room. I have to admit, he made a wise decision on this... more

Ok so here's the real deal - If you're a nice, natural, "no airs", "people" human being, you're going to love it here. If you are one of the following, you're going to hate it: snob, rich [--], artificial person, [--]. more

This is a wonderful place filled with warm people. It is a true pensione- meaning no wifi, no flat screens in the room, no express elevator - but if your plan is to see Seattle and meet great people this is the PERFECT place. Delightfully simple rooms, inviting common room, staff that remember your name, and unmatched views of the... more

After reading all the positive reviews of Pensione Nichols I had very high expectations...and I was not let down! Everything was just perfect...the beds were extremely comfortable, the whole place was decorated with boutique charm, fresh flowers abounded in the bathrooms, halls and breakfast room, the location could not have been better (we walked everywhere) and our hostesses were divine!... more

Stayed here for one night on the way home from a work trip. This B&B was reasonably priced, compared to the big hotel chains. I wanted someplace where I could explore by foot. The location of this B&B was very central, located close to restaurants, Pikes Place Market and the shopping district. I would stay here again because this place... more

As you read in other reviews this place is all about where it is. It is extremely close to Pike Place Market, 10 minutes to the water and 15 minutes to the ferries. It is an easy walk to Pioneer Square and the International District. The view from the 3rd floor breakfast room is superb. The bathrooms are shared and... more

As the title says - this a gem in the middle of a city. The location is unbeatable, literally across the street from Pike Street Markets. You can't beat that. You are also only about 7 blocks from Pioneer Square, and the same distance from the waterfront. I will warn you, you need to go up three flights of stairs.... more
