Since we were visiting Organ Pipe Cactus National Monument, we decided to stay in Ajo the night before the drive down to Organ Pipe. What a disappointment!! We stayed in the Marine Motel for one night enroute to Tucson via the "Scenic route" (e.g to see the Organ Pipe Cacutus N M). Adequate without being exceptional and with friendly management. Good access to Organ Pipe Cactus National Momument. Besides the organ pipes, if you want to see saguaros there are enough here for you not to need to visit Saguaro National park. There is also access to the Mexican border.
