I've never written a review before, but after seeing the reviews on this site, felt I had to comment. Judging by some of the reviews, I almost changed to a different resort, but I'm so glad I didn't. We stayed 3 nights, and I was sorry I hadn't planned a longer stay. I requested a renovated room---it was beautiful---the bathroom... more

We live in Phoenix and often travel to Tucson for weekend "get-aways". We just returned from staying two nights at the Westward Look Resort and can't wait to go back. We stayed at the WL several years ago and were a bit disapointed because the rooms were old, tired, and in need of a facelift. Well they got one and... more

When I visit family in Tucson I either stay at the Westward Look or at the Hilton El Conquistador. I stayed at the WWL August 22-24. The hotel is in the middle of a renovation. I called and requested to be put in a renovated room (which you should make sure to do). The renovated rooms have a nice big... more

Stay at the Westward Look in the summer off season. Their summer rates are about 1/2 the their normal rate. The rooms are 6 to a building. Living room, bedrom suite with large bath very nicely decorated with lots of space. Pod coffee makers, three pools, gym & nature trails. Great staff. Good hiking 3 blocks east. Could use fridge in... more

The hotel was undergoing construction so the parking lot looked a little rough (construction equipment, etc). Our room was spacious, very clean and quiet. We had a room that had been updated. When you make your reservation please note that when they say desert view they mean lower level and mountain view is upper level. I requested desert view and... more

Not a premier destination. Old, un-kept, by far not plush. Worst Resort ever stayed in. Suite was large but the furniture and carpet were old and soiled. Shower backed up -waded in water. Stayed for anniversary - extremely disappointed. Don't be fooled - the room and ground renovation has not started. It needs Major renovation. more

The service and accommadations mentioned by Travel48Travel are not typical, and appropriate action has been taken to ensure these situations do not occur again. Westward Look Resort is in the process of a multi-million dollar renovation that is taking place inside our guest...

Just spent one night with 2 young grandkids and had an excellent time. We live in Tucson so while I was familiar with the hotel, I had never stayed there or seen the rooms. After reading some of the reviews, I was a bit nervous about what to expect. Hotel staff were friendly and accommodating, letting us check in a... more

The Westward Look was just what we were looking for. Two adults and two teens (15 & 18), we had been traveling all over Arizona, and we just wanted a place where we could just hang for a few days. My wife and I enjoyed wandering around the grounds; our kids were happy just lying by one of the three... more

Originally booked for 3 nights but e.mailed to see if we could check in 2 days early. We could but they tried to charge me more than I could book it for on the net, so I did it myself. Had a non refurbished room but it was OK. Large, nice bathroom and little semi private patio. Food in the... more

Room was comfortable, spacious, and the view of the mountains another plus. Yes, maybe a bit tired, but for the price, clean and perfect if you are spending most of your time outdoors. Lunch in Gold Room was unexpected pleasure: interesting menu selections, well presented and delicious. Staff was uniformily polite. Spa is tiny but servicable. Room was very quiet... more
