I will start at the very beginning... This was our 3 year wedding anniversary and San Antone is close enough to drive, so what the heck? We wanted to love this place and in some regrads it was very nice, but overall not a great place to stay for how much money we paid ($250!) I think it greatly depends on the room you stay in. Stayed in Sarah's Suite and Living Room from April 4 through 8 2008. A great, unique, memorable experience. From check in until we left, the staff was nothing but incredibly friendly and helpful. We stayed at the Vista for our honeymoon in December. We had such a great time! We stayed for 3 nights. The location is perfect. We walked everywhere we went. The only time that we moved the car was to go to the Tower of Americas (which we had a great view of from our room!). The staff were wonderful... more
