We loved our stay at A Yellow Rose. It's a short stroll (1/2 mile?) along the Riverwalk to all the action downtown. We tried to eat our way through San Antonio so the walk was a good thing! Our room was prettier in person than on the website, and the bed was oh so comfy. But my favorite was the... more

I had a 4 day vacation allotment that I had to use or loose and chose to spend it in San Antonio I had never been, and thought it looked interesting - I wasnt disappointed. I was traveling alone and was really looking for something special. I scoured the hotels on-line that wasnt it and on a BndB website I... more

My sister and I went to San Antonio for a professional convention. We've stayed in hotels near the convention center before, but we decided to try a bed and breakfast this time. Based on the website and other reviews, we chose "A Yellow Rose". We were very pleased with the accomodations. The room and bathroom were spacious, with plenty of... more

My husband and I stayed in the Bordeaux room, and it was great. We're not really B&B people - we don't like frilly decor, nor the forced socializing that's often part of the experience. We wanted: * Privacy * Affordability * Good location for public transportation or walking (since we didn't want to rent a car) * Comfortable bed *... more

We stayed in the Provence Room for a 4 day romantic get away. This place is great! The room was large, clean, quiet and very resonably priced. The location is perfect, in the heart of King Williams and short distance from river walk. Owner is very helpful without being in your way. We were made to feel like the place... more

Excellent acommodations and location. Host and Hostess were terrific and very helpful in providing ideas for what to see and do. Especially appreciated the privacy and room size-- our room was beautifully decorated and the bath was perfect. Easy access and parking is a big plus. Location could not be better--River Walk, restaurants and down town area. An absolute excellent... more

My lady and I have found "our spot" in San Antonio! We can't imagine staying at any other place in town. The Magnolia Room was spacious, quiet and nicely laid out. The accommodations are classy, comfortable and very cozy. The King William District has so many things to see and do and it's all a short walk away. I even... more

We arrived after a 9 hour drive to find our hosts had delayed leaving for the evening just to greet us and get us settled in. They even reffered us to an excellent and out of the ordnary restaurant where we could grab a late dinner. The accomodations were not only incredibly charming and comfortable, but were stocked with absolutely... more

The Yellow Rose had all the comforts of home and then some. We absolutley loved the location. The King William area has so many historical homes that are so beautiful. We were there during Fiesta so they were all decorated that was a hugh plus. The walk to the riverwalk was enjoyable. Staying there you almost forget that you are... more

I needed to be near downtown SA but didn't want to stay in the conference hotel. The Yellow Rose is just a 15-minute walk away but in a residential neighborhood full of trees and flowers. Public transportation runs frequently too. I stayed in the spacious Provence room which is very restfully decorated. There's plenty of space in the closet and... more
