The Cabanas is basically a nice place. The rooms are clean and well furnished. It's location is good. It is on a back alley but that seclusion from the other hotels. While there is limited parking at the hotel, they have made arrangements with the hotel next door for parking. The one downside for me was the lack of a... more

I have stayed at the Cabana for years and continue to return. The staff is always there to greet with a smile and goes out of their way to make sure I have everything I need. Besides the convenient parking, closeness to the best Waikiki restaurants and pubs- it is always fantastic to have quality wine glasses and a wine... more

I and my Boyfriend have stayed at the Cabana for at least the last 6 year end vacation times. I have found the staff exremely friendly and helpful. Actually, it is like visitng family when we go there. The accommodations aren't like the Hilton Hawaiian but I wouldn''t stay at the Hilton Hawaiian even if I could afford it. I... more

We stayed at the Cabanas for two nights at the end of our Hawaii holiday. We'd already had a couple of nights at the Aqua Aloha Surf Hotel where our room was unexpectedly smart and with excellent views across the city. In contrast, the room at the Cabanas was dark and rather gloomy, with nothing in the way of a... more

it's not that bad really, sure the photos really do make it look good, and it is centrally located, but it is what it s a tired old motel slowly been done up. What worried me was when you were in the hot tub, you could clearly be seen by the neighbours through the fence, not at all private, forget the... more

Our room at the Cabana was very comfortable and clean. We enjoyed the bed and the living space, but the view was least to be desired. This place is a great Motel, and should not be considered anything but one. It should not be called a Hotel, an Inn, and definately not a Resort. It is far from one and... more

Well, the ads of the Cabanas at Waikiki give the impression of being a hot, exciting property. Well, no, it's not. It's nice enough. The cleaning staff did a good job. The rooms were big with a nice kitchen and sitting area and sleeping area. However, the promise of hot times in the hot tub are non-existent! It sits in... more

Great location, if only our shuttle driver could have found it. We ended up walking half a block trying to locate it in what appeared to be an alley. My partner and I were quite shocked at what we found; a converted apartment building. Others have mentioned the lack of warmth and friendliness from the desk clerk and we concur.... more

Rooms: large but with furniture from a thrift store. Service: non-existent. Ambience: your room will overlook an apartment building. Claims on the web site: outrageous. If this is an exclusive, quiet, upscale resort bathed in sun then so is a Howard Johnson's in the Bronx. This dump might be OK IF all you need is a place to crash after... more

what is shown on the website doesn't really match to what you see when you arrive. the hot tub is terrible, parking is under the hotel and the breakfast area is attached, feels like you are eating in the parking garage. the staff are not helpful at all. rooms are large and were very clean, toilet kept getting plugged, location... more
