Do not stay here. The employees seem like borderline criminals. Horrible conditions. No locks. I actually felt endangered. Nothing advertised is accurate. Not only that, but Expedia included this in a package in which they are criminally liable as well. The agreement between Expedia and the Hotel was that we would be refunded, but the hotel later rescinded. Total disaster. more

I'm trying to make this short because of what has already been written here by others. This place is overpriced and yes, the staff is party friendly but not showing interest in your business as a guest. The way the cabana is advertised is a joke. There is no tropical garden, the hot tub is filled with pure water (germs!!!)... more

I have stayed at the Cabana exactly 8 times over the years. - I was very impressed with overall quality of the facilities and location for the first couple of visits. - Then I noticed a gradual decline in upkeep. - Room furnishings became shabby and worn. Each time I booked the prices were higher and the service poorer. -... more

We stayed for 5 days in the delux room, having been to other gay hotels we were in for a shock. The room was clean but basic for the price with a small deck that faced another building a few feet away. The hot tub we looked forward to was crammed outside the office window on the small patio where... more

This was my third stay at The Cabana. If you like the idea of a hotel with a gay clientele, and a close proximity to the beach and to Hula's Bar, the Cabana is for you. The rooms are all mini-suites, including kitchenettes. Although there is no stove in the room, there is a microwave, and it is possible to... more

The Good: - good location close to the beach - maids were very good and very nice people - nicely decorated room The Bad: - With the exception of 1 front desk guy, the staff and management were very "cool". Not friendly at all and not helpful. We wanted to partonize a gay business but the atmosphere at the hotel... more

We stayed at The Cabana in late February. The staff were very friendly and helpful, and the location was ideal. The room was wonderful - large, and a nice porch. Housekeeping went out of their way to take care of little things right away. I know other's commented about noise from adjacent properties, but we didn't experience that at all.... more

The Cabana at Waikiki is a fantastically well managed, clean and friendly place to stay. It is so close to Waikiki beach, the local bars, restaurants and night life. The apartments look fresh and new. The staff are wonderful. There are cocktail evenings several times a week around the hot tub. You can get to meet other people on their... more

Having a great room is, of course, pretty important. The rooms at the Cabana are stylish mini-suites with a living area with sofa and TV, and a Hawaiian-style bed with a log wood base. There's a little kitchen in the corner of the living area. The maid service was excellent; extra towels were offered without asking on the last day... more

I spent the last two weekend staying at the Cabana on the Friday, Saturday and Sunday nights each week whilst visitng the Hawaiian Islands from England. The best things about the Cabana are the lovely friendly staff who are very chatty and fun and the location.. it is just a couple of minutes walk from Hulas which is the best... more
