We stayed two nights at Carrick Lodge in May 2008 - it is now under new management and the new owners seem great. The rooms are very clean and comfortable. The location is good too - there are several food options just over the road at the Cromwell Mall. Cromwell also makes a great base for exploring the local wineries... more

We opted to stay at Cromwell for 2 nights rather than the busy Queenstown. We had an end room with windows on three sides and it was very spacious. The spa bath was very welcomed at the end of a day touring the region. It was just delightful. The greeting was warm and friendly, and the manager at the time... more

We stayed the night before we went to Queenstown but should have stayed here for the two nights instead! Nicely decorated with comfy beds & a clean & inviting atmosphere. The value for money was excellent & out of the 10 hotels we stayed in while in NZ, it was one of the best. I'd certainly stay here again. Great... more

LOCATION: Only 1 hour drive from Queenstown , it is a nice alternative place to stay if you are after a quiet night for a very reasonable price. We paid $115 for the 1 bedroom unit.
