We spent 2 nights at the HI & we were very suprised at how nice the hotel actually was. It is very clean, rooms are large & the pool/gym/spa are is excellent. We stayed while the renovations were on & the noise wnet from 10am to 7pm but it was still ok. The staff were very friendly & the restuarant... more

We stayed at the HI Macau for 2 days in a club room. The location is convenient and the price is reasonable for Macau (considering our room had free american breakfast... Very good by the way). Staff and service was ok and the hotel is safe (the elevator cannot reach the club floor if you do not insert your key-card).... more

What is consistently true amongst the reviews is getting a renovated room is a must. Friends and I only stayed one night, so my only experience was in a renovated room and it was fantastic. The beds aren't the plushest, but the room was clean and modern with great amenities. Service was excellent. Great location-we were able to walk to... more

I stayed in this hotel before and was disappointed with the room, so this time I decided to pay a bit more and get a renovated room. it payed off as the newly renovated rooms are a lot better than the "old" rooms. The rate I payed (900 $ plus tax) became good value compared to the rates the large... more

For the price, HI Macau is poor value. (I paid HKD750). If you want to stay here, insist on a renovated room, but this will likely cost you HKD200++ for the privelege. A standard room is a standard room, right? Not here. The un-refurbished rooms are dated, shabby and somewhat depressing. Furthermore, the cleaning 'standards' are not up to par,... more

This Holiday Inn plans to renovate its rooms over the next five years without closing down the hotel. What this means is that your room--wherever you are within the hotel--will be filled with jack hammer-like noise and vibrations from 10:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., six days a week. This makes being in the rooms, in my view, intolerable. Moreover, there... more

I stayed here for two nights in the beginning of July. I've stayed at a number of hotels in the general area so thought I'd give the Holiday Inn a try this time. The hotel front staff and porters spoke english which was great. The porter brought my suitcase inside and gave me a map of the city plus afew... more

While the staff was unfailingly polite and extremely helpful, and the public areas spotless, the rooms themselves have some problems. And oh those towels! Booked over the Holiday Inn website, no problems. Upon arrival they upgraded me to newly renovated 26F executive room, with the warning that construction on 25F ran from 9AM to 7PM (not an issue for me).... more

Stayed in executive room for two nights in April. Carpet was stained and worn. Bathroom just okay. Staff very helpful. Restaurant on second floor average. Public areas of hotel okay. I would rate the hotel 4 stars except rooms are 3 stars. Close to Casinos. Beds very hard. Would stay again, but expected more. more

We stayed in this hotel for 4days and 3 nights. The hotel overall was great except for the bathroom that needs to be refurbished as some of the tiles under the sink were stained, which hurts the 4-star image of the hotel. Everything else was great though from the restaurant (Frascatti) to my favorite hangout which was the pool/jacuzzi area.... more
