Wonderful Resort, located in western Sicily, 1 hour from Palermo, in Mazara del Vallo. 5star, with excellent rooms, two pools, two restaurants, and a fabulous spa! In warmer months they have a private beach. In the middle of gorgeous wine vineyards and olive trees, it is a must destination, for relaxation and exploring. I loved this beautiful place. Being located out of town is one of it's strong points. You have to rent a car to see Sicily anyway. Mazara Del Vallo is a charming town that is not a tourist attraction and is 10 mins drive through the countryside from the hotel. We picked this hotel because of its kids club and were delighted as was our 3 year old. Our only negative was the location, it really is in the middle of nowhere. The local town Mazara is about 8km away and unless you have a car you cannot get anywhere, the hotel did organise a taxi which was outragoeously priced... more
