The hotel is in a good location one block from the American Embassy. The rooms are well done, with safes, refrigerators and marble baths. The staff is incredible. Bedding was spectacular. The location of the hotel is good with three major subway lines very nearby. There are not very many restaurants near the hotel, and the eateries in the hotel are quite costly. Tokyo is a spotlessly clean city and very easy to get around via the metro system. Walking, however, is another matter as few streets have street signs. Although I have a very good sense of bearing and direction, I never was able to discern north, south, east or west....odd!
I would highly recommend a stay at this hotel. I paid $238/night which is considerably less than the room rate at the Marriott or Hilton, and I consider an Intercontinental a step above those two chains.
