We stayed in this hotel for 7 nights (first time in Tokyo). It is perfectly located as you have very good access to the subway within 5 minutes walking distance. (there are 3 lines crossing here at the "Aoyama 1-chome"-station: Ginza-line/Hanzomon-line/Oedo-line. That makes it very easy to get arround in Tokyo from here in short distances: 5-10 minutes train-ride to Shinjuku, Shibuya or Ginza)- 15minutes walk to night-life area Roppongi

rooms are very small, which did not bother us as we did not stay much in our hotel - only for sleeping.

Very quit and safe area with mostly residential buildings and some embassies in the neighborhood.

The reception staff are very friendly and speak a very good English. E.g. they helped us in booking a tea ceremony at the "Sado Kaikan" (They made the full fax correspondence and even made a translated print-out of the location map.)

The room rates are at an unbeatable low price of only arround 70 EURO per night - a real bargain for a 3*-hotel in Tokyo! The money saved we rather spent with good japanese food :-)

The cheapest way to get there from Narita Airport was with the "Keisei Limited Express" train to UENO-station for only 1.000 yen (the "Keisei Skyliner" is only 15min faster but costs almost double price). At UENO you need to change into the Ginza-subway line (marked with a "G" in a orange circle) and make 12 stations to "Ayoma itchome" ("G04") for 190 yen. Leave the subway at exit Nr. 4 (stairs only). Walk the street "Gaien-Higashi-Dori" 300 meters down-hill and turn left into a little street (approx. opposite the "family mart"-store). After another 150 meters the hotel is on the right hand side.

Review written while staying at the hotel which fully lives up to to the reviews given. Excellent location - 5 minutes walk from two subway stations- and as others have indicated staff are very helpful and all speak good English. Free bottles of mineral water in reception an added bonus. First trip to Japan and can thoroughly recommend this as a good value place to stay. If you are a UK national then this is Travelodge / Premier Travel Inn quality in terms of accomodation but helpfulness of staff is in diifferent league to the UK.

Great budget style hotel in the heart of Tokyo. Great location close to two major Metro stops and also in close walking distance to major areas. Staff are friendly, rooms are clean - they are quite small but you don't spend too much time in them! Overall a hotel I would recommend for the price and location.

My family and I spent 3 days at this hotel in May 2007. The rate we payed was cheap and the hotel was great for the price. The front desk staff spoke very good English and was very helpful. The room and bathroom was a little small but very clean and everything worked including the hi-tech toilet. The hotel had washing machines and dryers which is very handy if you are travelling for a while, vending machines, (some full of beer) and free bottled drinking water in the foyer. There were plenty of cheap restaurants in the area and the subway was nice and close. We found it a little hard to get to the hotel from the airport by bus, but we managed. Overall if you don’t want to spend too much on your accommodation this is a great hotel, and I would stay here again.
