HI this hotel is great we got checked in on the bus and given arm bands got to the hotel and were given drinks(yum).
The room was very nice block g5 very smart balcony to sit at in the eavening and have a drink the bathroom was fab(please do not buy travel adaptors in the hotel shop bring one from home)haire dryers towels changed 1-2 times a day ha ha the hot water is a bit tempremental who cares.

Now the fun bit when we got there we where told to go to the reps meating in the morning 9am so i went along and met steph and same guy l couldent hold in the gigals as thay told us if we booked any trips not through them we will DIE.HA HA HA.
This is because there is a small hut down the beach called
CAMPO TOURS. i cant say enough these guys are smashin
so funny we booked all our trips from them.
We first went on the safari this was the best day we had out there.
we went pass some schools, old houses and farms threw sweets.
we then stoped at a lake which was nice.then moved to a beach
nice waves and nice sand. Drinks and food was included in the trip this trip is the same as the one they ofer in the hotel thay call it laguna tours thay charge $70 per adult and $40 for kids at campo we paid $50 for adults and the little one went free.
Trip 2 was fun we went to ocean world. the dolphin encounter.$250 for 2 adults the little one went free this was the best day for her thay have got 2 tigers one white and one normal. you have got to see them. The food was nice $20 for a big pizza 3 drinks not bad.The photos were so cheap $10 each.
Trip 3 glass bottom boat was fun we set of at 9am from campo. went to giri giri lagoon. saw the mangroves and local wildlife
nice day out for me and my little girl. my wife was in hospital she went at 6am and told us to carry on with our day so the show must go on.left gri gri and went to the most clear beach you will ever see. got back to the hotel at 3pm this trip cost $40 little one went free as normal. and then got a taxi to porto plata $90 return to pick up my wife from hospital. As i went to her room the doctor told me she might die if she dont spend the night there .Basiclly they try to keep you in for a few days so thay can rinse out your insuarance. She had 4 tests in 12 hours she was then told she had a infection. what thay never admit is it is food poisoning. They have a deal with the hotel. got back to the hotel at 10pm nice.

Trip 4 bacardi island now i have seen some cool things in my life this was the best day of my life this trip left the hotel at 8pm 3 hours later we got to the island. the water was the best the pinocaladas were the best.$90 for two adults and the little one free booked from campo had a nice lunch there all/inc .
Speak to herman at campo he will look after you. funny because
thay all work on commission.and they all want your £ $.

The hotel pool is so nice the staff are so friendly the maids work realy hard and the paths are so clean.
Food well thats what we will call it its ok just ok nothing to write home about. The mexican is the best.
For the kids they have a disco at night starting at 8.30pm this would be the highlight of my doughters day. The shows are great they work on a 3 week rota so you dont see the same show twice.
Then after the show the party moves over to the strip they do a few shows there and then go into the club.
The sea is soooo nice. the water was warm and mostly clear first you get the peabels then all you get is smooth sand.

6of us travelled to the dominican republic as we had been to the caribean together before we knew we would have a good time but were a little hesitent after reading some of the reports but u have to give these places a chance as everybodys opinion differs on arriving we all thought what a nice place spotlessly clean rooms were very nice and clean the pool area was nice and the food was hot but after the first week the food was repeated the second week we did,nt get any bad bellys which makes a change on our second week we went out to eat at 7.30 which we did most nights before going out we checked that the patio doors were locked and everything was locked in the safe as we were going out early the next day we left my husbands ds lite on to charge so that we could use it as an alarm clock to wake us up the next morning When we got back to our rooms at 11 oclock that night we could not find the ds lite thinking that we might have left in at our friends next door we went to there rooms only for our friends to say that they are missing a mobile phone and about one hundred and fifty pounds we called the secutity in and found that both sets of patio doors had been forced open and the locks were replaced
Thats when our problems started the hotel customer services manager did,nt want to know and in my opinion was very rude he stated that we only alledge our rooms were broken into and only alledge that our items were stolen which is what he wrote on his letter to our insurance companys i refused to accept his letter so if your going to this hotel be very careful and dont expect any help of the so called customer service manager alltogether 7 rooms were broken into the same night as ours

i stayed here for two weeks with my mother. upon arrival we could not have asked for better we got checked in on the transfer coach so went straight to the room on arrival! the hotel was beautiful and the people who say they had food poisoning obviously don;t wash their hands. their is antibacterial gel upon entering the resturaunt and everything you ask for can be made fresh in front of you. The animation teasm are the hardest working members off staff they are so nice and work 16 hour days to make your holiday memorable! i am going back in september because i love it that much ! i would reccomend this hotel to anyone!
you will love it ! Even LA on the beach mde the exciursions great! i miss it there best holiday of my life. if you want five star book five star but this is a top notch 4 star hotel! if you want you can leave the complex and go to rio san juan 5 minutes down the road in a taxi. it is safe and the fags are cheap! nightlifew there is amazing too!

We went to the resort June 27 – July 4 with our 3 18 year olds. This is our 5th time to the Dominican Republic but the first time at this resort. For what we paid $500+taxes I would say it was a good resort. The food was good but nothing special. The rooms were clean and well looked after. The resort was kept clean and looked nice. We stayed in the Diamond section which is a fair ways from the main pool. My wife and I spent most of the time around that pool and the kids moved from it to the main pool depending on what was going on. We tried all the ala cartes except the fish (We love fish but our kids don’t). They we good but not great. If this was your first time in the DR I would not recommend this resort if you want to go to towns. It is far from anything big. The beach is clean but not white sand. We did the Jungle Safaris which was very good. We would probably not go back but if your looking for a nice resort and can get it for a good price it’s worth the money.

before going to the bahia principe, id read some of the reviews on here and iv gotta say we had absolutely no problems whatsoever! the rooms were cleaned everyday and flowers or towel decorations left daily on the beds- a very nice touch, the food was fantastic - such a variety, the a la carte meals were great -Mediterranean absolutely fantastic!! the restaurant and bar staff couldnt do enough for you!! drinks were brilliant -try the coco loco or pina colada -yummy, you get a taste for the rum by the end!!the complex itself was stunning - beautiful gardens and altho not the carribean sea side, the beach was also stunning, the free watersports were great - had much fun kayaking!! the pools were brill too, stay at the big one 4 entertainment or games - or for somewhere more peaceful the pool on the right of the resort. the entertainment guys are fantastic, so much energy, loved them!! they give out certificates, rum and t-shirts 4 most games which is great.the games are great fun, we're even using some of them for a party at home!! spanish lessons were great to do! now night shows were absolutey fantastic - very talented bunch they have they, for the ladies ricky martin is a must see!! we thoroughly enjoyed every part of the entertainment day and night! after the show you can venture up to pueblo principe which is buzzing from about 11 onwards, the rock bar is great and the nightclub was fantastic - playin mainly r&b music - the only downside is it really hot in there especially after all the dancing we did! trips were also great - quite expensive but worth it! i recommend the freestyle catamaran - the snorkelling in the reef was fantastic, truelly an experience we wont forget. overall i cannot find a single fault with this hotel and if your worried about the negative reviews dont be, the problems they have had in the past have been rectified to the highest standard, i cannot fault this hotel in the slighest in fact much better hygiene standards than the majority of ours in the uk to be honest!! GO THERE ITS FANTASTIC, thank you bahia principe for the most fantastic holiday ever!! karen, vicky, nikki and george x
