We went as a group of 12 to the Palladium and stayed in the Royal Suites/Adults only section. We enjoyed the quietness of this part of the resort.
Rooms: Wonderful...xtra large walk in shower with a seperate little room for the toilet. Sink was outside both of these so lots of room for 2 to get ready! Each room has a whirlpool tub in the room as well. These tubs take a while to fill so we didn't use them more than one time, but they make great washer machines if you bring some detergent from home!! The bed we had was a king, some have 2 queen/full size in them. Very spacious room with a slider going out to your own little patio with table and chairs.
Beach: Very nice beach. Plenty of chairs to go around if you get out there early! We went out everyday about 7AM and put a few towels down under the huts, however we went to breakfast and were always back by 8. Some of the reserved huts stayed empty all day and I find that to be unnecessary. If you aren't going to sit at the beach don't reserve a hut! When we were there the water was a little rough with alot of waves. We are used to a calmer water from our previous travels. By the end of our stay it had calmed down a good bit. You can walk forever on the beach without being stopped. There are little shops to the right down the beach where the vendors are very agressive. I don't mind going alone as I love to haggle over prices but if you don't like that sort of thing I would take someone with you!
Pool: Very large, clean. They were always out in the morning with the vacuum and net to get all the debris out. Swim up bar needs some work but service was great. Loungers were always taken early at the pool. Somebody stole mine one day...good thing I'm not a grudge holding gal!
Food: We mostly stayed with the buffets and nobody starved. I was not so happy with the food, but many in our group thought it was wonderful. So, the food is a personal thing I guess. There was always salad, pizza and pasta. Every night would be a different theme. We never tried any of the other buffets for dinner but did try them for lunch. We ate at the Italian restaurant one night and it was very good. We also tried the Royal Gourmet a couple of times and found it to be very good as well.
This resort is very large...it is actually 3 resorts in one and if you are staying in the Royal Suites you have free reign on the entire resort. There is a little train that you can hop on to get from place to place. This train is very crowded at night and sometimes you have to wait for the next one. This was my only complaint about the resort is that it is very large. We didn't see alot of what there was to offer because of this. We pretty much stayed on the Royal Suites side but did venture out to the other end for some shopping. The theaters are aways from the Suites and the shows don't start until 10, the disco at 11 so we didn't see any of that. We were too tired from rising early and sunning it all day for that! The employees at this resort communicated with us very well and were always accomodating to whatever we needed. I probably wouldn't go back here just because of the size but it is a very beautiful resort. Contact me with any questions and I'll be happy to answer!
