we had a portside deluxe room on the 18th floor, the view was fabulous. The staff were very polite and helpful. The housekeeping staff put clean sheets on our beds every day, and kept our room spotless.May we recommend Inlets for breakfast which you can find in Robson Street. The Reception staff and porters were so kind and helpful nothing was ever a problem. If you do want to stay in vancover we give The Fairmont Waterfront Hotel 10 out of 10.
Thankyou.

“A great stay”

Fairmont Waterfront

My partner & I stayed here the night we arrived (exhausted) from Australia. From the doormen to reception to breakfast staff, everyone was professional, prompt, friendly & welcoming. We travelled through the Rockies then returned for a further 3 nights. I had requested on check-out whether we could have a room on a higher floor (the first night was on L7), just for something different - if you don't ask (nicely) you don't get.. The first room was standard size, and older TV but otherwise well appointed, comfortable & a city view. On our return I was pleased that they accommodated my requested and we had a very large corner room on L16 overlooking the harbour and city, though the receptionist tried to upsell us to something bigger and no doubt more expensive - I'm well aware reception staff kind of have to do that - our rate was C$160 through my company. For these 3 days I had contact with a number of staff - breakfast, reception, concierge & doormen - all consistently helpful, knowledgable & friendly. The breakfast staff are super efficient (4 different waitrons over the 4 days), unobtrusive, smiley & friendly...and we were called by name...even though mine is difficult & regularly mispronounced. Breakfast was great and by Australian hotel prices very cheap - HALF. Our room overlooked (in the distance) the helipad, though the noise was no more obtrusive than than city traffic (even on L16), which wasn't a problem day or night. You could also at times hear the ship horns - this a harbour location after all. The seaplanes could possibly be a problem for some but perhaps request a room not on that side. A very comfy king bed, LCD TV and reasonable closet space. The only (minor) downside was that they charge for internet connection - we had free connection right through the Rockies - even a B&B. The gym was pretty good and had all you really needed, plus mostly windows looking out the harbour. This is a great hotel and the staff definitely make the stay a pleasant one.

“Very nice....”

Nice stay for a weekend meeting. Had a large deluxe room on the 19th floor with view of North Van, mountains and harbour. King size bed very comfy, LCD TV, etc. Heard the sea planes but that adds to the waterfront nuance. Staff pleasant and very helpful. Skip buffet breakfast. Underground mall includes Tim's, and Starbucks right across the street at Canada Place. Easy walk along sea wall and then downtown/Gastown and then to Granville Island. Again, very nice.

“relaxing stay after skiing”

Fairmont Waterfront

We spent two nights here before flying out of Canada.

We upgraded to The Fairmont Gold on arrival which meant we had use of a private lounge, with added facilities such as cocktail hour hors d'oeuvres and a complimentary deluxe continental breakfast. It was too wet to use the terrace but the extra space of the lounge made our stay with two young children all the better.

Some people would not like the sound of all the seaplanes taking off - especially since they fly from 8.00am but they entertained our children and we live in a city anyway.

overall a very relaxing location and a great experience for all the family.

“excellent service”

Fairmont Waterfront

We stayed at the Fairmont while in town for a convention across the street at the convention center. We had a deluxe Harbor view room on the 18th floor. The room was a little bit small but the view was wonderful. You can hear the sea planes taking off and landing during the day and also the construction but it's not too bad and there isn't any noise at night. The staff was extrememly kind and helpful. We'd stay there again and recommend it.
