“Awesome time”

Alpine Chalet Whistler

We decided to stay at the Alpine Chalet when we looked at the homepage. The rooms and facilities looked welcoming and the service sounded great. When we made a reservation for 7 nights, the email respond was very quick and friendly and we were offered 1 night free. When we arrived at the Alpine Lodge we were warmly welcomed by the staff and happy to see that everything looked even better than on the homepage.

The room including bathroom were very clean and nice. We almost felt like home. The breakfast was far better than any breaskfast we ever had in any B&B, hotel or hostel. It was not a simple buffet but everthing was made fresh and with love. Everday something different.
After coming back from a hard day of riding there was always a little snack waiting for us. The huge outdoor hot tub and the steambath gave the necessary evening relaxation.

Alpine Chalet is easy to reach by bus, taxi, car and even by walking from Whistler village or Creekside. We highly recommend this B&B and are really looking forward to come back.

“To bad we couldn't stay longer and celebrate Christmas”

We stayed in the Alpine Chalet in Whistler the week before Christmas 2007 and it was everything we expected. Nice cosy room, excellent and friendly service, and a very relaxed atmosphere.

As an example of the friendlyness and excellent service; after a long day of skiing we were enjoying a few beers by the fireplace in the main room of the Chalet. We did not really feel like going out for dinner. At one point we mentioned that to Radek (hope I spelled that correctly), who was taking care of us during our stay, and he generously offered to cook dinner for us, which he did superbly.

The Alpine Chalet Whistler is centrally located in Alta Vista (5 min (bus)drive / 25 min walk from both Whistler and Whistler Creek) in a green, quiet and spacious neighbourhood near Alta Lake. Although at first we thought this location (ie, not actually in Whistler) could be a hassle, it turned out to be a great.

When going out for dinner, I can recommend the stroll to Whistler or Whistler Creek through the beautiful surroundings. Especially after the walk home you will go to bed satisfied and peacefully.

To bad we couldn't stay longer and celebrate Christmas in the Alpine Chalet.

“Fantastic B&B!”

Alpine Chalet Whistler

We've been to the Alpine Chalet in Whistler twice now, the first time in summer and, more recently, in winter. Whistler is a very different place according to the season, but both of our experiences at the Chalet provided us with just what we needed for a memorable and relaxing getaway. The rooms are comfortable (and spotless), while the alpine aesthetic in the common room offers a cozy ambiance. The gourmet breakfasts are a great way to start the day, and we appreciated their attention to detail in serving them up. We will happily recommend this B&B to anyone.

“Fantastic Honeymoon/Alpine Chalet in Whistler! Great Place and Price! Brilliant”

Alpine Chalet Whistler

Jan 3, 2008

We spent the later portion of our honeymoon at the Alpine Chalet in Whistler! This was our first trip to Canada so we were a little nervous about making all of our arrangements via emails. We asked them to put together a honeymoon package for us and we received 5 days of lift tickets, fresh fresh flowers, chocolates, and champagne, 2-- 4 course dinners and 2 hour long massages included in our package upon our arrival. The cooks that were flown in from the UK were amazing and made great dinners and breakfasts......not boring at all...we had pancakes one day, eggs Benedict, a full English breakfast, and omelets another..in addition to fresh fruit and cereals. The dinners were even more lavish.....our Christmas Day dinner was fantastic......the food was so much better than what we experienced in the crowded and over priced restaurants in Whistler......and Blackcomb

This place was so warm and friendly. We recommend staying in their largest room, the Hemlock Master Suite. It has a great view/porch, a sitting area, a fireplace, a big bathroom with a huge jet tub(nice alternative to the hottub) and heated bathroom tiles and a king-sized bed! The only thing I think the room could use is a huge mirror over the firepalce to reflect the view from above the bed and a mini fridge/microwave in each of the guest rooms....perhaps in the bathroom or corner of the room.

*Downstairs you will find individual room lockers to to store your ski equipment as well. Each day we were greeted upon arrival. Snacks, cookies and cakes were made available every afternoon. The outdoor hot tub was a huge relief at the end of the day and a nice steam room as well. I utilized the option for massages and they were fantastic.

This is a shoe and smoke free home. If you don't want to wear their slippers/indoor shoes..then go barefoot, wear socks, or your own indoor shoes/slippers. I thought that it was nice to be able to be comfortable in the Inn and not have muddy and dirty wooden floors. They may want to consider adding waffle slippers to match the robes in the rooms and include this in the room cost.

The property is about a 5 minute drive from the Slopes and this is a bonus as the inn is quiet and secluded. If you choose to ski early and beat the crowds you can purchase "fresh tracks" tickets for $17.00 (in addition to your ski pass) and you can be on the gondola at 7am and a warm breakfast buffet is awaiting you at the top of the Whistler Gondola... and a handful skiers. On your later days we recommend skiing on Blackcomb Mountain. It feels more like skiing in the US at Vail/Beaver Creek and is less crowded and fewer lift lines.

We chose to have a rental car but there is a bus available to the mountain for $1.25. The drive up from Vancouver was a bit scary due to all of the construction in preparation for the upcoming 2010 Olympics ..but this is understandable. To avoid any uneasiness try to drive-up/down during daylight hours or have a limo or shuttle take you to Whistler if you have to travel at night.

The only other issue that we had was trying to figure out our final bill but this was due to us making changes to our packages and having others join us for a dinner at the inn. I would recommend calling in addition to emailing the inn to avoid confusion.

We were sad to leave but look forward to returning on future anniversaries. We have great memories and met amazing people from all around the world.

We highly recommend this Inn!

“Graceful Luxury”

Alpine Chalet Whistler

My thoughts? I suggest you call now, reserve any of the luxurious rooms available, sit back and relax in the knowledge that you have made the perfect choice for your stay!

The rest will be ready for your pleasure as you approach the multi, a-framed rooftops of the lovely inn along a quaint road lined with charming homes.

You will be warmly greeted at the door by hosts that seem to magically appear when you want an extra pillow and are nowhere to be seen when you choose to quietly read by the warmly lit fire on the oversized leather couches-with well placed book lights and a wide selection of fine teas!

I frequently noticed the myriad of ways in which the designers of the chalet made choices that naturally optimized the comfort of its guests. We appreciated the quality of construction and the well-appointed rooms! I enjoy fine wood, quality views and homes where the decorations are primarily embedded in the quality of construction and embellished simply by a few well chosen decorations. This was it!

I awoke each morning, took a deep bath and wondered why the sheet smelled like they had been hanging in the sun. (Ask the owner why.... I did! I plan to order the special secret for my home).

As I opened the room and stepped into the hall, the smell of French pressed coffee and pastries wafted up the staircase. Upon further inspection, it appeared that each morning the two chefs had created yet another artfully presented breakfast that melted in the mouth. I left vowing to begin my days with fresh fruits, homemade yogurts and French pastries followed by a hot entree, (such as a salmon omelet topped with caviar-only one of many a delicacy.)

I enjoy a vacation that makes me want to change something in my life for the better. My vow to eat a better selection of fruits and perhaps muesli with yogurt in the morning will be a lingering gift, part of my intention to make my homelife more spa like and intentionally graceful.

I highly recommend this 4+ bed and breakfast. The hotel staff were outstanding, the service top notch and entertaining as well. We had a romantic time in the midst of a lovely village.

Oh, I forgot to mention....word has it there is fine skiing nearby somewhere. You might want to check into that!

Enjoy your stay. We will return!
