“Excellent accommodation and very friendly owners”

Shakespeare Holiday Cottages

Jul 23, 2008

We stayed for 1 week and had an excellent holiday. The cottage is set just outside Stratford (around 10 mins by car).

Our arrival couldnt have been organised better - the owner Antonia was extremely helpful and very friendly both on arrival and throughout our stay.

My Wife is disabled and although she doesnt need a wheelchair has trouble getting into and out of a shower/bath so the walk-in shower on the ground floor was very welcome.

The cottage itself (Falstaff) was very well fitted; the three bedrooms all had a full compliment of bed linen and towels etc. The cottage was very clean on our arrival. The kitchen was a joy to use, open plan, plenty of space and a full set of facilities.

We didnt use the dining area as the view (and the whether) encouraged us to have breakfast and evening drinks on the patio.

Without doubt we would definately stay there again - it was a joy!!

“Loved Shakespeare Holiday Cottages!”

My husband and I stayed in the Hamlet cottage. We felt welcomed from the time we arrived. Antonia was a gracious host and was keen to make sure everything was to our liking. The cottage was bright and nicely decorated in a modern, but cozy style. Being just outside the town of Stratford, made this a great destination. The countryside was beautiful and it was fun to explore. We would definately stay here again.

“Measure Cottage - A Wee Gem”

Shakespeare Holiday Cottages

Jul 11, 2008

Just returned from a most enjoyable last minute break at Measure Cottage, the latest addition to Shakespeare Holiday Cottages. In actual fact the property was more the size of a small house, extremely well appointed and finished to a high standard. All your needs are thoroughly catered for and the rooms a good size. It was a bonus for our family, with teenagers, to have 2 bathrooms, although if you are 6 ft ,you might find the upstairs shower rather tricky. The cottage is extremely comfortable and beautifully accessorised and we especially liked the oak staircase and floors. There is a pretty enclosed garden too, where you can enjoy the morning sun catching up on the papers.

Cottage situated in village of Wooton Wawen and very close by to Henley-in Arden which has a good variety of restaurants and pubs and of course the excellent Henley ice cream shop! About 5 miles into Stratford-upon-Avon for supermarkets etc and ideal base for exploring Warwick, Leamington Spa and The Cotswolds.

The owner, Antonia, was extremely helpful keeping in contact with us throughout our stay and nothing was too much trouble. She had compiled an 'Information Folder' on absolutely everything you could possibly want to know about the area and it was the most informative and best presentation of this kind I have ever seen.

We were delighted with our choice of cottage and would definitely recommend it.

“A Midsummer Nights Dreams”

Shakespeare Holiday Cottages

Jul 8, 2008

A fantastic cottage situated in a lovely area close to Henley in Arden and Stratford both of which are lovely places to visit.

The house itself is extremely welcoming as are the owners who came across as friendly and warm. Inside the decor is splendid and the master bedroom in particular is superbly finished with attention to detail and made for a very pleasant nights sleep!

Either for couples or families or just someone in need of a base for a business trip all will be exceedingly pleased with their decision to stay in this happy place.

“Fantastic cottage - great location”

Shakespeare Holiday Cottages

Stourbridge

I enjoyed a short stay in Falstaff cottage with my fiancee recently and we both absolutely loved it! The accommodation was of a very high standard - very snug and comfortable with great facilities.

The cottages are in a brilliant location too. Looking out of the windows in the cottage it feels like you're in the middle of nowhere. All you can see is miles of beautiful natural scenery which is very peaceful. However, in actual fact you are just a short drive into the centre of Stratford and all it's attractions and amenities.

There are a number of great looking places nearby to eat out, though I can't comment on many of these as we were far too comfortable in the cottage to bother going out much! We preferred to stay in and watch a DVD and enjoy the home comforts!
