I booked a night at The Old Station for my husband's birthday. We stayed in one of the carriage suites and it was a real treat. Really unusual and very tastefully done. The suite had everything you could need for an enjoyable stay and it really was an great experience. We had a lovely breakfast in the main house in the morning- plenty of fruit,toast and cooked breakfast. Excellent value for money and well worth a visit for a special ocassion or just a treat.

I've taken my girlfriend here three times now and stayed in the carraige each time. The standard of accomodation is high, it's also a very unique place to a weekend away. It's a cheap taxi into St Andrews, so you can have a drink and return for an early night.
New people have recently taken over, my last stay was just as good with them as with the previous owners.
I'll be back again without a doubt!

My new husband and I visisted the Old Station for the 1st 2 nights of our honeymoon on 14th Feb 2003. We stayed in the railway carraige and not actually in the station itself. The carraige was refurbished to a very high standard, fresh flowers, luxurious bedding and everyting else you could possibly need for a romantic weekend away. There are 2 apartments in the carraige with contecting doors so would be ideal for 2 couples to go. There is a BBQ area outside the carraige which in the summer would be very useful. The station itself is where food is served, the breakfast was delicious with an endless pot of tea and as much toast as you can eat, daily papers are available and the family library is quant and interesting. I can strongly recommend this for a relaxing weekend away.
