“Great beds, decent service, not so great location.”

We booked this hotel becaused of Samantha Brown's show. I have to say it's not the best location if you're trying to save money from the commute. We took the train to get to the city each day, sometimes twice a day, which was about two euro per person per trip. It's not right in the city, so if you're looking for a more peaceful atmosphere, this would be good. But, if you're looking for more nightlife and the ability to walk without having to figure out public transportation, this isn't the best place to stay. The beds were very comfortable and the service was good.

“Great value”

Stayed for three nights including new years eve. The location is great. 10 minutes into town centre on the 4, 7 or 45 bus directly outside the hotel and only 1.35 euros. It's exact fare only but the hotel reception staff were happy to assist with changing a note. 26 euros door to door from the airport in a taxi or 7 euros on the aircoach if you prefer.
Room was clean and well equipped for 99 euros.
Bathroom clean and spacious with shower gel / handwash provided. The only problem we encountered was that the safe in the room didn't work but we didn't report it due to our short stay so I can't comment on maintainence issues.
Had a meal in O'Connell's on new years eve which we reserved by phone from the UK before we travelled. Despite being a busy night it was impressive and very good value for money.
Excellent place to stay for an economy break in Dublin and would stay again.

“Great hotel for a family break”

Stayed here at the end of December with the kids before the Ulster/Leinster rugby game. Location is great - just 5 mins walk to the DART station at Sandymount and right beside the RDS and within walking distance of Landsdowne Road. Room was spacious, comfortable and clean and superb value at Euro99 per night. O'Connell's Restaurant is also excellent - great quality food and a children's menu that is rather more imaginative than the norm (no processed chicken nuggets here!). Great spacious lobby with comfortable seating too. Just a pity Ulster lost the game!! But despite that, we'll definitely be back.

“Great Value, Wonderful Hotel”

We just returned from our first trip to Dublin, and we stayed at Bewley's Hotel in Ballsbridge for 5 nights. For convenience, it can't be beat. The Aircoach stops just outside the gate, the bus into the City Centre is right in front of the hotel, and the DART station is about 5 minutes away by foot.

The hotel is lovely and because we booked early, we were able to secure a deluxe king roon. VERY roomy, with comfortable bed and a lovely duvet. Large bathroom with tub and shower. Also, a nice little round "porthole" window in the bath let in natural light.

Ballsbridge is a really nice area, with lots of good restaurants within a short walk from the hotel. As a treat, we ate dinner our last night at O'Connell's Restaurant in the hotel. The salmon was the best I've ever had!! Very affordable since we ordered from the "Early Bird" menu. Attentive service and the bottle of wine that my husband bought at a local wine store was chilled perfectly.

Wireless internet (just turned on my computer and there it was) as well as an in-room safe (free) which was large enough to fit my computer into comfortably.

Front desk response to questions was quick and polite.

I would recommend this hotel to anyone contemplating a trip to Dublin. It is an awesome value for the money.

This is definitely where we will stay when we return to Dublin.

“Good Value, watch the waiters!”

Stayed here for Ryder Cup. Easy access from airport on Aircoach. Easy Access to Dublin Railway via light railway 200 yards away.
Very impressed with residence for 99 euros.

Food in Restaurant also very good, as was service EXCEPT it took 5 attemps to get the bill correctly added up after evening meal. Waiters don't all speak english as first language and they tried to pull a fast one using the somewhat confused pricing structure on the menu. We stood our ground and insisted they keep adding it up till it was correct. Missed out on their tip as a consequence. CHECK YOUR BILL CAREFULLY IN THE RESTAURANT otherwise great place
