This is a basic Holiday Inn. Nothing special but clean. The location is good and within walking distance to downtown Killarney. The reception staff was not overly friendly but they were competent and the pub staff was friendly. Parking was good if you are driving.

There was an unpleasant smell in the lobby area when were arrived but it did not carry over to the rooms.

Stayed in this hotel recently. A good location from the town centre. Hotel overly priced. The staff on reception were fine but the staff in the bar left alot to be desired. There was a baldy guy behind the bar and a have to say he had to much to say for himself. He totally turned his eyes up to heaven when a american tourist asked him for two Irish coffees - wasn't nice and the tourist saw him do it. The bar food wasn't bad but the place lacked atmosphere - mentioned on website about live music the weekends didn't see sight of any musicans. Breakfast was ok but they could do with heating the sausages,rashers etc up, every morning they were stone cold. There was a constant smell in the hallway from the swimming pool which could certainly be sorted out. So overall only ok but certainly I have stayed in nicer hotels for less money.

We had a lovely 3 night stay at this hotel, made special by its convenient location. The staff were very helpful and the room was clean. We ate in the Saddler's Bar every night because the food was good and reasonable and the tables were well attended by the helpful staff and were kept clean inbetween customers. However I must add that although the breakfast was satisfactory, the restaurant was looking tired and in need of refurbishment. The chairs in particular looked like they needed a good scrub! This put us off booking a table for an evening meal. We did not use the pool although the facilities looked good. You did have to wear swimming caps, not something that we are used to but can appreciate the need for hygiene.

We are regular guests in the Holiday Inn in Killarney and always recommend it to our friends as a really nice hotel to stay in. It caters for children which is a rare find and a big plus. The Leisure facilities are just what you need after a days shopping in Killarney and the Holiday Inn is ideally located for day trips and adventurous walks in nearby Muckross. Keep up the good work!!
