Many of the guests at Killeen House were golfers, who were having a great time playing excellent nearby courses, but our group of non-golfers loved it as well. First, the countryside location, about 5 minutes outside of Killarney (which is traffic-congested and full of tourists) is beautiful. Second, Geraldine and Michael were great hosts. They took care of all of our requests, including getting tickets on short notice for a performance of Riverdance. Third, the breakfasts were quite good and dinners outstanding. Fourth, the pub was a great place for our group (9 long-time friends from college) to hang out, drink some Guinness and taste the Irish whiskeys. Fourth, the rooms were well-sized and very clean. Killeen House is run like an inn, not a hotel, and we had a great time staying there.

There just isn't a place on earth quite like the Killeen House. Geraldine and Michael Rosney have developed this little gem into the most appealing, pleasant and charming inn you could hope to find anywhere.
We only had three nights with the Rosneys and every moment was outstanding. Beginning with the delightful breakfast choices and service in the morning to the warmth and fun of the pub and dining room in the evening, Geraldine and Michael are there to assure that every detail is perfect. The rooms, the food, the ambience... we couldn't have been happier. We will definetly return and next time for more than three nights!
We celebrated our daughter's college graduation at Killeen House. We treasure the memories of the daily golf competitions, the beautiful countryside of Ireland and the warmth and friendliness of the most charming of all, the Killeen House.

We recently stayed at Killeen house. It was wonderful. Michael gave us so much advice before our trip which really helped in the planning, He also booked a tee time for golf at Waterville for my husband. Nothing was too much trouble. We prepaid for our accomodation which was a real saving . We had dinner one night at their restaurant which was delicious. The reviews on tripadviser are really accurate.

I had the privilege to spend a week at the Killeen House for a week in May -- not only did the trip and company surpass any and every expectation, but the Killeen House was the highlight of the trip. The accommodations, the food, and the pub are fantastic - and the people that run the show are truly one of a kind. Michael and Geraldine and their amazing staff - including Janet, Jessica and Charlie - are not only wonderful hosts, but in fact, they are friends. I know this won't be my last trip to Ireland and each time I go back there's no place I'd rather stay. -- The Redhead in MSP
