I booked this hotel at the last minute on one of the european hotel booking websites and was pleased with the choice. There are several similarly priced and situated hotels within a few block area of this hotel but I did not have the chance to look at those during the trip. Most of the previous review comments were accurate so there were no surprises. It was a bit difficult to locate the hotel at first but it is only a block from the Anvers Metro station exit and faces out on the Place d'Anvers little park so it is well situated.
The room was quite large for a twin with a little tv mounted on the wall overhead, 2 large windows, a large wardrobe that we did not use, a small desk, 2 firm but comfortable beds and a large ensuite bathroom with a large but odd shaped tub (it was narrow so there was no flat spot along the bottom for standing and showering). Luckily there was a TINY lift so we were not forced to haul our bags up and down the stairs. The lift is barely large enough for 2 people and almost impossible to also bring 2 sets of luggage up as well so be forewarned. It is a typical lift for europe though. The hotel was clean but there was some peeling paint in the room and the bedspreads were worn with some missing stitching.
Overall I would recommend the hotel. By all means take advantage of their low priced cold drinks since they are cheaper than any local market AND cold. We did not buy the optional breakfast so I cannot comment on that. There are several cafes and restaurants nearby that we checked out that served our needs well. For the price we paid (76 Euro per night) I felt like we got a good deal for Paris.
