The Paris Hilton Eiffel Tower is situated so perfectly for visitors that I have to give it top ratings for that. It's just a short walk to the tower and from a metro stop. Just across the street from the Eiffel Tower is the batobus (the boat that allows you to go up and down the Seine and get on and off at different stops) and in front of the tower are stops for the L'Open Tour buses and the red open buses, which can take you to many different stops around the city with the added plus of an audio guide (we took the L'Open 2-day tour since they offered many more stops than the red bus).
Another great advantage to the Hilton is that you can visit at night if you stay here and see the twinkling lights or walk up to the trocadero and view it from there.
The Hilton itself is okay, nothing special for the $381 plus American dollars we spent. I didn't get the buffet breakfast included like some other people said, at least that anyone let me know about. The staff spoke pretty good English.
We had an early flight in and when I asked about an early check-in, they told me the only way they could accommodate me was if I was willing to buy another night, which was too much money to throw away. My son fell asleep on their couch while we were waiting for the batobus station to open and a staff member motioned me to wake him up. I did, but then he fell asleep sitting up. A security guard came over and woke him up again. I'm sure they were worried he was a backpacker just using their couch, but it was hard for him to stay awake.
I had booked through the hotel itself in hopes they might accommodate things like an early check-in or a room with a view, but we got neither of the things we asked for, so if you get a better deal on one of the discount sites, go for it. Also, there was a Mercure right next to it that seemed like it would have more rooms with a view. I have no idea what that hotel was like, but it seemed decent.
As for the comment in another review about Altitude 95, the restaurant in the Eiffel Tower , we went there and actually liked it. The staff didn't speak much English (but, hey, I didn't speak much French), but the food was decent and you get to skip the lines to buy tickets and go up the tower with a reservation in this restaurant. The HIlton was helpful in getting me reservations here and also sold me Louvre tickets, which allowed me to skip the lines to get into the Louvre.
