a lot of bed bugs, terrible experience, I have still a lot of signs on my body ....

Me and my girlfriend spend two nights in this 3 star hotel which is, actually, in the middle of Frankfurt. You can walk five minutes to the main shopping street and to see the sights it´s not more than ten minutes. The neighborhood is quite scary at night, but we didn´t have any problem at all so that was ok from our point of view. Hotel is quite cheap, but I´am not sure who gave three stars because this is actually two star hotel (owned by russia people btw). Room was ok (cheap look), but you can see some dust on the furniture/carpet and bathroom was so small that was hardly to move inside. It seems that cleaning is not the most popular job for staff. There were also some problem with breakfest (nice bufet, lots of things but you have to get up early). We were missing some bread so I asked receptionist/waitress if she could bring more and she just go to the another guest and asked him "Do you mind if I take your bread, because we don´t have more" which was quite funny but not polite and professional. So the main positive things are price and location.

We stayed at City Hotel Frankfurt for 2 nights in October 2007. In terms of distance to the different points of interest, the location was excellent. However, the neighborhood was pretty shabby. The "trinkenhalle" nearby was crowded and noisy, and the view from our room was dreadful. Still, we spent much of our time roaming through the city, so it really didn't matter. The street below was quite noisy at night, so we had to keep the window shut. The breakfast area was a little too small, and some people had to wait in line in order to eat. Still, we wouldn't mind booking a room at this hotel again if we were to return to Frankfurt.

we expected higher hotel standard since it is rated as a 3 stars hotel... but it is actually a 2 stars. It's little and old, and located in a no-so-friendly neighbourhood. The bathroom was too small, we booked a room for 3 people, had to wait a couple of hours before it was ready (way beyond the check-in time) and when we finally got the room, the third bed wasn't made. We had to make it. And the sink broke, only with one hand put on it. The guy at the reception was very kind though.
