I stayed at this Hotel while I attended the Automechanika trade show this September. I have visited Frankfurt six times and this was one of the worst hotels I have stayed in. The room was clean and the staff was friendly, however a train line runs close by the hotel and trains pass by constantly making sleep very difficult. There was no a/c and it was very hot. Therefore you had to keep the windows open which made it seem as if you were staying in the middle of a train station! Breakfast is supposed to be served from 7:00am to 10:00am but usually everything ran out by 9:00am. The hotel is ideally located in terms of public transport as it is only a few minutes by foot from the train station or the tram station. However, this hotel is definitely not a 4 star hotel. If it was marketed as a 3 star with an appropriately lower price, I would not have been so upset. For the price, there are other hotels close to this one which offer much better facilities - the Lindner Hotel is one example!

This is an OK hotel in Frankfurt, but I was surprised by its award of a 4*

The good points of this hotel are:

* A nice breakfast which can be taken outside

* Location is not bad - close enough to the bar area of Frankfurt - although the neighborhood itself did not feel very friendly

* Good value for money, particularly taking into account typical Frankfurt prices.

The not so good points are:

* Very small room, very small bathroom too without shampoo, the "double" bedroom had two twin beds put together (no doublebeds available).

* Service was not very friendly - and with poor english (and not great german either)

* Limited and expensive parking included - although parking outside the street (or on the street behind the hotel) can be easily found

My husband & myself along with my sister and her husband stayed at the Hotel Cult for one night in April. We chose the hotl based on the one review on trip advisor & for the close proximity to the bar district in sachenhausen. The hotel was very clean, very modern, and our room was spacious. The check-in was quick - we chose to pay the 10 Euro fee to have secure parking (although there was plenty of free parking on the street). The hotel was a fifteen minute walk to the bar district and a ten minute walk to the local bahnhof (train station). It was the perfect base location for our exploration of the area. The morning breakfast was awesome!!! There was everything from warm wursts & eggs to rolls, cereal, danishes, yogurt, cold meats and cheeses, and fruit juice. We also really enjoyed the strong coffee. The staff was friendly, English speaking, and able to provide good directions. The hotel is a 20 minute drive from the Frankfurt airport.

We were three guys (and one couple) spending 2 nights there in March 2006. Hotel is about 2km from the city centre but in our opinion it was just the right distance because all streets in the city are not so nice with brothels and so on. S-Bahn from nearby station takes to city in few minutes. Sachsenhausen pub area also within walking distance.

Hotel was four stars in comparison to usual three stars that one gets for that price. Furniture and decoration was new and rooms were nice. Breakfast buffet was good. Service was friendly. I would say it was above average experience and recommend it to everyone.
