The Mövenpick is is a first class hotel, very close to the sub station, the city centre and Main station is reachable in a walking distance. It is a brand new hotel which had just opened a week before we stayed. We were surprised how good everything was working and especially how personal and friendly the staff was.
The hotel is clean and the decor is very modern, it has all kinds of surprises, you can almost call it a design hotel! It was pricey, because of the World Cup and high quality of the hotel, we paid a price of 340 EUR for the two of us, which is a lot for a four star rated hotel.
But as we knew it in advance, and the other hotels where as expensive it wasn’t that bad.
We had a problem with the free of charge WIFI so we contacted the reception. A Gentlemen came up, and instead of fixing the WIFI he brought up a cable and installed us a free of charge wired connection, which worked fine and was very fast.
There is a large fitness area on the highest floor, with an impressive view over the city, you can even step outside on the roof terrace. Unfortunately there is no pool, which was for us the only thing missing in this hotel.
We ate in the restaurant and got a very typical German meal of good quality, and where surprised about the low prices compared to the room rate.
To bad that the Hamburg Mövenpick hasn’t opened jet, so we are staying in the Le Meridien before we fly back home, after some nice world cup weeks.
