Our family of eight was in Italy for the Christmas holidays and were lucky enough to have booked rooms at Hotel al Piave. The location was wonderful, the rooms very nice and best of all the breakfast with cappuccinos were a hit with all our children. I would highly recomend the hotel for its comfort and price P. S. The family that owns and operates this charming hotel are lovely.

We stayed at Al Piave this weekend - the hotel certainly lived up to the excellent reviews we found on this website. Our room was a standard double so rather small but clean, quiet and with all necessities - lovely decoration. We had to ask at first to find the hotel as we arrived after dark but everyone is so friendly in Venice that it is was not difficult. Once you find your bearings almost everything is within 5 minutes walking distance.

By far the best points are the very friendly staff and the breakfast, particularly the excellent coffee.

We would certainly recommend this hotel as being excellent value for money.

Staying in a family owned and managed hotel is a unique experience that greatly enhances your stay in Venice. I lived and traveled throughout Italy for a year, with Florence as my base, and then lived in Venice for 5 months. Through all of my travels & hotel stays in the country, Hotel Al Piave was my favorite. For a longer stay, the family has fabulous apartments that you can request. Be sure to ask the family if you can meet "Cute Little Molly," Ilaria Puppin's sweet dog. Ilaria and Ilaria's parents, Signore & Signora Puppin are hard working and VERY friendly people. Also - breakfasts are delicious and cozy in the first floor lobby. The lobby has the most beautiful light fixtures that are designed and created in Venice. Happy Travels and Buon Viaggio!

My husband and I took our honeymoon in Venice for 2 weeks during Carnivale. We stayed at hotel Al Piave and LOVED it. What great service and the room was perfect. Had a kitchen and a washing machine! We had windows overlooking the street, breakfast was great every morning and This family run hotel puts the customers first. They carried our luggage up to our room, they always told us the best secret places to eat and which sites we should visit. Ilaria works at the front deask and is such a pleasure, her parents are so sweet and made us feel very welcome. There is even a resident dog named Molly who was rescued from the pound, she loves strawberries so be sure to bring her some! When we return to Venice, we would stay at no other hotel. we HIGHLY reccomend this hotel for all your needs. Close to everything!! -Lisa & Patrick
