The hotel is centrally located, within walking distance of the Market, museums and other main tourist sites. The room was nicely appointed, spacious, and the breakfast buffet was excellent. The lobby was inviting unlike other hotels we've stayed in.

The hotel is very close to the train station, which is good for those who plan an early departure or late arrival, to or from St Petersburg, for instance. It is however an obstacle course to wheel your luggage across cobblestone streets and road repairs. There are other hotels that are very close to the station and also closer to the center of town, not as quiet as this one, but perhaps more convenient.
The rooms are really not small and very well equipped, except for the toiletries. Soap is really difficult to get in Finland hotels for some reason, and we used a tiny square for 4 days. Same for towels, two very thin bath towels and 2 face towels. The beds are very comfortable.
The internet access in the room is rather sporadic, although it's supposed to be a business hotel.
There is a very convenient snack bar and items can be purchased at the front desk.
It is a rather intimate place, compared to others, and pretty modern and clean. A very good breakfast is included, which is served until 10 A.M. And they mean 10 A.M. If you don't make it in time and you think you can perhaps bring something up to the room, DON"T DO IT! We thought we could and we were treated as bank robbers by a stern restaurant supervisor who presented us with a bill for 10 EU, and the front desk attendant who informed us in a very arrogant manner that "We don't do that in Europe". Apparently some do, because I saw several people grabbing a roll on their way out. Considering that we were paying over $300 a night, I would have thought we deserved at least a packed lunch, let alone be able to take an extra cup of coffee and a roll to the room without causing an international incident.

I travel to Helsinki quite often for business and this is my preferred hotel. Its central location is very nice for a walk around the city center.. or a night on the town. The rooms are very nice and the service is consistent. Very good breakfast especially compared to other Helsinki business hotels. Its not the most extravagant, but is nice and consistent. One thing I don't like is that catching a cab at 830 can be a pain, so book one ahead. And its not too convenient for traffic in and out of city center.

I have stayed at this hotel for business 3 times. It is in a good location within the city center within walking distance to many shops and restaurants. It is also close to the train station.

The hotel breakfast has a large spread which I think is just "ok". Most of the foods are lukewarm and it is a very european style spread, but not much else.

The hotel has two wings. Once side is the "remodeled" side (facing the street) and the other is the old style rooms. I definitely prefer the old rooms. The remodeled rooms have a weird configuration with a round closet in the middle of the room and the desk area blocked off by a large opaque glass pane with multi-colored stones. It is quite 80's style and I also hate the fact that I can't watch TV while I am working at the desk (large opaque pane blocks the tv view). So, my recommendation is to stay in the north wing and stay away from the remodeled rooms.

The staff is very friendly. There is usually a "on the go" breakfast area with crossaints, cookies and coffee. During my last stay in January I noticed this was out only 1 of the 3 mornings I was there.
