In August 2007 I spent a total of 4 nights (twice 2 nights) at Hotel Glo. I was in Helsinki for business.

Although the hotel is on the expensive side, I value it highly. I travel quite a lot for my work and therefore when on a business trip, I try to find a hotel, which makes me feel at home.

I especially like the design of the spacious rooms (the bathroom and the flat screen TV are large as well!). There is also plenty of room for your clothes (many hotels have very small closets or cupboards). Everything looks great (at least as per my own taste) and is very, very comfortable (including chairs, sheets, pillows, towels etc.).

I was lucky to be upgraded to a suite on my second visit. That was a real treat. The suites are rather large and more like small studios, but without a kitchen.

I wasn't impressed with the breakfast. There is nothing wrong with it. I just think it is very standard.

Furthermore, the hotel is centrally located. Helsinki's center is pretty small and everything is walking distance form Hotel Glo.

Excellent and central location for this modern hotel. Small reception and a good bar on the ground floor. Very comfortable room had all you could wish for, except windows that could be opened. Airconditioning was barely adequeate and I rather prefer an open window. Breakfast buffet was good for Finnish standards but nothing spectacular. Nice and friendly staff throughout.

On arrival approx.five hours before check in,I am welcomed,my baggage literally and figuratively are taken from me.Asked if I would like to have breakfast,which of course I accepted.It was a delightful breakfast not only that day but for my entire stay.
I have stayed in a number of rooms at GLO and have not been disappointed both with the decor and comfort,on this trip I must admit to sleeping for more hours than I care to remember induced by my surroundings.
I would say that the people at the front desk went the extra mile to make my stay a memorable one.You know good management is at work when before asking the staff suggest ideas to enhance my stay.
Truly one of the best Hotels I have ever stayed,anywhere in the world bar none and in the center of the city.
As was said by someone 'I'll be back'.

This is an excellent city centre hotel situated right in the pedestrian heart of Helsinki. It is of very modern design with every detail thought of. Our room & bed were very comfortable & quiet. The buffet breakfast was of high standard and staff very friendly and helpful. English spoken so well everywhere. There are excellent restaurants of every nationality nearby.
