“A nice hotel”

Crown Resorts Henipa

I use this hotel for all my business affairs as it is the closest hotel to the Larnaca Industrial Area (Aradippou Area) and most conveniently located outside the high way.

Food and beverage is above average.

Hotel management and staff very friendly.

I am using this hotel for more that five years now with very good reviews from my business partners and customers.

Beach is 200meters straight from the hotel. However to go to the city you will definetely need a car or a bus as its around 10km from the city centre.

Very quite with nice swimming pool.

Business facilities very poor however therefore I let all my customers to my offices that provides high speed internet access and fax etc.

“Henipa in decline”

Crown Resorts Henipa

Jul 9, 2008

Just returned from 3 nights at the Henipa, our third stay at the hotel.

The receptionist was quite friendly on arrival, we were quite early and asked to come back at 11am. When we got back just after 11am we were given a room. The rooms have had a lick of paint since our last visit. The beds had a new bedspread, old furniture but overall quite pleasant. Overlooking the pool with a small balcony. Bathroom small but all in working order.

Booked a half board option, breakfast medium buffet with hams, cheese, breads, selection of hot foods, yogurts. Breakfast is in a room in the basement, it is quite dark with no atmosphere.

Our first night was on a Saturday, there was a wedding party in the evening. This was held in the main resturant and also outside. This meant that hotel guests ate their dinner downstairs in the same room as used for breakfast.

In the past, guests would eat on the whole in main restaurant for all meals but it seems that this is mainly used for venues and is either being made ready for an event or being cleaned after a bash.

The buffet was awful compared with what we have been used to at the Henipa. A few dishes of salad, coleslaw, potato salad and then five hot dishes including some unidentifiable meat, First night only apples for dessert. We asked for carbonated water and we were given these in paper cups. All of the good food and luxury items such as glasses being used by the wedding party upstairs.

The waitress could not understand why we complained and she gave a big shrug and she was sulky for the rest of the time we were at the hotel.

The other evening meals were held outside, however the food had not in improved.

The hotel setting is lovely with flowers all round the grounds, the pool is kept clean at all times and the rooms improved.

The serice is a big let down, and the management seem to lavish all of the venue guests rather than the bread and butter hotel guests. I have inlcuded pictures from this weekend showing how nice the hotel looks, shame it doesn't follow through.

Last time I gave four stars, this time 2 stars. This is because I feel the management have a great hotel but are running it into the ground and concentrating more on functions. We will not be revisiting until we can see improvements

“One night was bad enough”

Crown Resorts Henipa

Jun 26, 2008

We got shoved in this hotel for one night after our flight was cancelled. I can say now that one night was enough. The rooms were poor, the decor dated and the hotel looked like it was in need of a lick of paint.

As for the food, dont go there!

Glad it was for one night only, I would rather have slept on the beach if forced to stay another night!

“Dissapointed”

Crown Resorts Henipa

Northamptonshire
Feb 11, 2008

I stayed here for one week with my sister for her birthday. The hotel looked quite nice on arrival until we went up to the first floor. Dark and dismal corridors and so was the room. Electric sockets were hanging off the wall, itchy blankets on the bed and light bulbs that did not work. The ceiling in the corridor fell down due to a water leak and was not cleared away until the following day by which time more ceiling had fallen down. We had to ask for the maid to come in and make up the room and she only changed the towels if you made a point of putting the old ones in the bath. The breakfast room was dark and miserable and the food "ok". We chose to eat out after the first couple of days. 'The restaurant was hired out regularly so not sure where the hotel guests ate. No coffee making facilities available so we had to pay for coffee in the bar which ranged from 4.28 euros to 6.78 euros depending on who served you and were not given any change on more than one occasion.

Would I stay here again? Not on your nelly, no way.

“Not As Bad As Some Of The Reviews Make Out”

Crown Resorts Henipa

3 of 5 stars
Hertfordshire

Typical holiday resort hotel. Read some very silly reviews giving it one out of five. Staff are friendly, the food okay (certainly cheap), and the rooms average. But all have balconies and the pool area, with swim-up bar, is very pleasant. Only 100m from the sea and five mins from Larnaca. Better than anything you will get in nearby Ayia Napa
