I stayed here on a business trip in January 2008. The room was very nice - light and airy - there were three large windows. It was spotlessly clean and was very quiet. There were good facilities in the room, though a slightly strange system of paying a deposit to access the mini-bar and toiletries.

The hotel staff very helpful and friendly.

We also held our two day meeting in the hotel facilities and again the rooms were well laid out and had nice airy feelings to them.

I stayed at this hotel on a recent business trip to Switzerland. The hotels in Zurich were full because there was a big trade show or exhibition there. We did manage to locate a couple of rooms when someone cancelled, but the price was 400 CHF! I paid 179 CHF, plus tax (2.50 CHF) per night.

I was looking for a hotel convenient to Zurich airport, since I had an early morning flight. A colleague located the hotel via an internet serach and I had checked it out on Trip Advisor, prior to booking. I would agree with the previous ratings. Also, the hotel has a decent website. It makes it look more remote than it is - it's located in the middle of two joined towns (Regensdorf and Watt).

The hotel is quite nice, with clean modern rooms. There is NO air conditioning in the rooms, so this is not a good choice during the summer on hot days. There are no fans, so you have to open the windows. It was not that noisy, but then you have the light coming in early in the morning.

The hotel is very convenient to Zurich airport. It is located just off the motorway (2 mins) and before the big tunnel, so you do not get stuck in the early morning traffic jam going to the airport (important consideration). The taxi fare to the airport is 38 CHF, so if you do not have a car, add this to the price of the room for comparison to ones that have a free airport shuttle. Journey by taxi is about 15 mins.

The breakfast (typical decent EU buffet) is an additional 29 CHF - a bit steep. I passed on it the second day and ate at the airport (not cheap either).

The hotel is across the highway from Regensdorf, so you have to walk a little way to locate food. Close by, there is a Co-op store directly across via underpass, which contains a simple restaurant and a petrol station next to it , where you can buy sandwiches, drinks, snacks, etc.. I did not check out any of the better restaurants, since we arrived late and had already eaten.

The staff were very friendly and professional and the rooms quite spacious. There is a series of walking paths through a forest, just across from the hotel, so if you like to jog or walk for exercise, this is a good location.

I would definitely stay here again if I had a car and it was not really hot weather.

We stayed one night at the hotel, the night before our flight home. When I look for a hotel I want to find a hotel that suits my requirement as close as possible. The Trend Hotel was described as a 4 star hotel, the price was very attractive (109 euro=approx $140-150) its proximity to the airport was important too.

Its actually quite easy to find the hotel once you get the correct directions, as its on the No. 17 road that leads out of Zurich into the Schwarzwald - Southern Germany. Its a modren hotel, clean. The room was spacious with two beds, two tables (eating and writing desk) chairs, a bathroom with a tub. We had the room on the second floor overlooking the garden roof of the hotel, very quiet. The staff is very helpful. Parking the car overnight in the garage was only SFr.7 (the cheapest I found so far). It took us 20 minutes drive in the very heavy morning rush-hour to get to the airport. We had no breakfast there. There is a gas-station quite close to the hotel if you need to fill up the tank before returning the rental car.

I would definitely go back to this hotel next time I need an overnight stay in the proximity of the Zurich airport.

As part of a group tour of 60 people,we were put up in the Trend Hotel,we had no choice.
One evening as the group became friendly we decided to order a Pizza Dinner at the hotel.
All we had was cheese,mushroom pizzas for 50 people,Vegetarian spagetti for 10 people and salad (no meat fish or eggs)
with soft drinks n water the bill came to an astounding Swiss Francs 2700 (that is over £1000).
Wow we could have hired individual taxis,gone to town n had the same meal at a lower cost.
The response of the management as expected they cannot do anything wrong.
