Beautiful Hotel with clean and well appointed luxury rooms.

Friendly and knowledgeable staff and a nice bar area.

A little out on a limb in terms of positioning, otherwise a great place to unwind.

My husband and I spent one night at this hotel at the end of our week long tour of Ireland. It is a very beautiful hotel, well maintained, and extremely clean. The rooms are spacious enough and have everything you could need to be comfortable, including a terrific big bed, wonderful pillows, ironing board, coffee/tea, hair dryer, and a nice big television. Quite luxurious.

A couple of issues: they play music in the hallway all night long. It is supposed to be relaxing music, however it is a little loud and can be heard in the rooms. For a light sleeper, this is not the best and although they said they would turn it down when I called reception at approximately 11 pm, they did not. Also, my husband requested a wake up call for 5 am as we had an early flight to catch. The woman at reception did not ask for room number, so my husband presumed she had some indication of room on her phone system. This was not the case however, and we did not receive a wake up call. The gentleman at the front desk was not at all apologetic on behalf of the hotel. He just basically said "Oh, I had no room number." I guess these things do happen.

All in all, it was a lovely place to spend a night and very easy access to Shannon airport - approximately 15 minute drive with no traffic.

My husband and I recently returned from a two week tour of Ireland and Scotland. The Bunratty Hotel was the last of 8 hotels during our visit and we loved it. The staff was very helpful and friendly. Our room was beautiful and clean. Our favorite part of our stay was our massage in the hotel spa. The spa is very professional and relaxing. We would definitly return if we were ever in this part of the country again!

My husband and I travelled to Bunratty at the end of October 2007 for a family wedding.
We were originally going to be staying at the Bunratty Shannon Shamrock Hotel but cancelled our reservation with that hotel after reading the poop reviews on Trip Advisor.

The Bunratty Castle Hotel is located opposite Bunratty castle and just up the street from Durty Nellys pub.

Car parking is available directly in front of the hotel. The hotel also has a courtesy shuttle bus to Shannon airport.

We stopped at this hotel for 3 nights and managed to secure a weekend package which included breakfast every morning and 1 dinner.

We chose this hotel as it looked modern and clean.

The outside of the hotel is lovely especially lit up of an evening.
We were given room 232 which had a king sized bed, hairdryer, TV, Iron and Ironing board and tea and coffee making facilities.
The room was clean but quite old compared to the pictures that the hotel uses on their website.
The bathroom was large, clean and lovely.
I asked for a quiet room having a 10 month old baby and we were given a room with a view over a cemetery.

Our dinner at the hotel was lovely and our waiter was really friendly.
Breakfast was served until 10am and there was a good selection of food on offer and again it was lovely.

We used the spa facilities whilst at the hotel which were great. There is a steam room, Jacuzzi, sauna, and a swimming pool which had fountains and jet baths. There was also a gym and a large menu of treatments to chose from. The spa was very clean and modern and always had a lovely spice smell from the treatments on offer.

Whilst in Bunratty I would recommend you to visit the Bunratty castle Folk Park. It costs 14 Euros to enter and you can climb right to the top of the castle and walk around lots of old houses (wear flat shoes!) The park also contains children’s play area, pub and cafe.
