“Just a perfect small hotel”

Hotel Villa Elite

Jul 19, 2008

Stayed for 3 nights in July 08 in the separate suites block. The hotel is located a few minutes up the hill from the main Limone road and is well signed from the main road. Fast check in at the main hotel and the receptionist then walked us the 100m down the road to the suites block and talked us through the room etc. Nice touch. A 3 storey 12 roomed block with it's own pool and gardens. Plenty of private parking.

Both the Hotel and the suites block are only 5 min walk from the town. The suites were opened in July 07 and still looked immaculate. Rooms were large and very clean, with great views over Garda. Best views from the upper rooms, but the lower rooms opened directly to the garden which was handy. Rooms all had either patio or balcony.

Ultra modern bathroom, with Jaccuzzi P shaped bath and full body power shower. All a bit of a waste of money really, as few people use them. A normal shower would suffice. Again a very modern stone sink, but no bidet, which is unusual in Italy.

Superb breakfast at the main hotel with lovely Palma ham and beef cappaccio. Proper fresh coffee. Also chilled sparkling wine to start off your day. Really excellent.

Plenty of restarants in the town and on the lake front, but also a few just a 2 min walk up the hill. TIVO is just opposite the hotel and we could not fault it. Good quality local Italian food and good prices.

A nice touch was the open veranda seating area on both sides of the suites top floor. A superb evening location for a glass of wine and a havana, with fab views of the lake.

A very good pool area, again immaculate, with plenty of sun loungers and shades etc. All top quality. Very clean pool. Lovely tended gardens. (The main Hotel pool was also very nice with excellent lake views).

The main hotel looked as immaculate as the suites block and we would recommend either very highly. Could not fault this place. One of the cleanest hotels we've stayed in. Great service and lovely location.

The owners of this hotel really know what they are doing. Lovely location, incredibly clean and well cared for. All you could ask for really. And the weather was superb too. Would highly recommend this hotel/suites.

“Very Happy”

Hotel Villa Elite

Staid here with my wife in October just prior to it closing down for the season.

Very happy with the hotel room, nice and clean and great views of Lake Garda and surrounding mountains. The room was OK size and bathroom was adequate.

There were no English TV chanels but the TV did have a scart socket and switchable AV so if you have an iPod with movies on it you can plug and play no problem.

The hotel is family run by Davies and his Mum and they went out of their way to help you with any enquiries you had.

The hotel was very clean and we had no trouble with parking our hired Fiat Panda. Breakfast was a help yourself affair of meats and cheeses/breads and cereals and was more than adequate.

The pool on the top has breathtaking views of the mountains and Lake Garda, the water was freezing cold but this didn't prevent us from enjoying a couple of swims, the view really was amazing.

All in all I would recommend this hotel, it was 90% full of Germans one of who must have been married to the funniest man on the planet as she laughed for 3 days non stop.

The hotel is situated quite a way up from the harbour area, this does however provide a good workout if you have just eaten at a restaurant down by the sea front. As far as food is concerned the best in Limone we found was at Hotel Monte Baldo (underneath the arches!), free snacks with drinks 17.00-20.00 and food so much better than any of the prime position 'picture menu' restaurants along the lake front.

“Absolutely beautiful hotel”

Just returned from a 4 night stay in this beautiful villa/hotel.

The villa has wonderful views of the Lake and is set around a 10/15 minute walk downhill into the lakeside area where there are lots of shops/restaurants and bars. Look out for the side streets (or more like little pathways) down into the centre as these cut out quite a lot of walking.

The nicest place we ate was across the road from the hotel (not the villa) which is a a few yards up the road from the villa. It was a family run pizzeria with lovely authentic Italian food (the food down by the lake tends to cater to the tourist.

We hired a car and drove right round the Lake and were definitely convinced we chose the nicest resort. My only disappointment was that the sun disappears behind the mountains very early evening, but this would still not put me off returning as the resort is absolutely breathtaking.

Would definitely return again. After searching the web extensively for a good hotel, it was well worth the effort!

“Loved the new Junior Suites at Villa Elite”

Hotel Villa Elite

I am just back from a 5 night stay at the new Villa Elite Suites and I really enjoyed it!
There are about 15 rooms in a brand new building located a short distance from the original hotel. The suites have their own private pool which has a fab view of the lakes and mountains. Very relaxing! The rooms were lovely too with jacuzzi bath which was a nice treat! Parking wasn't an issue as there is secure car park just for the suites. There aren't a huge number of spaces but we never had a problem getting one. I would recommend staying here if you prefer the privacy of villa style accomodation to a hotel. The good thing is that you can still have breakfast in the hotel and go to the bar at night if you feel like it. It is certainly a good choice for a romantic break and the weather was fab too!

“Friendly, clean and with great lake view”

Having explored the southern end of Lake Garda, we used this pleasant hotel as a base for the north of the lake and the Dolomites. Situated quite high on a hillside (Limone is generally quite hilly - but a very pleasant place with a good range of bars, restaurants and gelaterias), it has great views of the lake - albeit a little way away. (About 1/4 mile as the crow flies. Remember the roads are quite winding). Walking from the hotel into Limone was not a problem, but walking back - especially after lots of pizza and Chianti - could be a bit of chore. (Walking time - approx 15 minutes, if you use the well-lit alleyways and avoid the main roads. Tourists seem to find these cut-throughs without much of a problem). Room was very large and clean - and breakfast was plentiful. Staff were very attentive, and quite useful in helping you to find somewhere to park when the hotel's few parking spaces were taken up. It seemed that the hotel was having an annexe built about 100 yds away - but was still under construction while we were there. Looked quite luxurious though! There was a pool and hyrdomassage facility, but we didn't get chance to use it.
