An ok hotel. in a village short of many alternatives. The hotel is buildt in a perfect location, and only seconds away of whats to see in svolær. Still a few things were lacking (or just not good enough) to make this hotel stay memorable. The rooms, are wery small, the beds are squeeking, there are no minibar. The curtains does not hold the light, so that the midnightsun keeps the room light all night. I read in another review here that the rooms seemed prefabricated, and I learned that they actually are. Supposedly leftover barracks from the Lillehammer Olpympics in -94. Resaturant: fantastic view over Svolvær from both the bar and restaurant. However, the bar was closed, so all drinks must be ordered in the reception. The breakfas buffet was ok, but the buffet itselfe were also to be found in the reception. Strange - but true.
Best thing about the hotel was the terrace next to the reception.
I you are staying here - remeber to book a room with a balcony. Allthoug they tell you alle rooms are the same, only half om them have balcony and is facing the water.
All in all - I have lived in better hotels, but also much worse.
