Posada el Moro is very simple family run hotel. We came with our 1.5 year old daughter on the nights of Jan 1-3 2008. We paid $75 per night, which was a great value, especially for the holidays!
We stayed in room no. 1 (suite), on the second floor that faced the street, I'm not sure if this was the room that the other traveler reffered to as noisy, but we didn't have any problems with it. No noise at all, and mind you it was the holidays.
The suite had 2 rooms, one with 2 double beds, toilet and shower, and the other like a living room, that had a folding sofa, kitchenette tables and chairs. We also had our share of a balcony, which we didn't use because it was too cold and rainy to sit outside.
As I said, it is very simple, but very nice and certainly worth the price we paid for it.
They served breakfast which we never attended, we always ate outside.
Ericka was very very nice and helpful, she supplied a "pack and play" bed for our baby, which was great.
We had a problem with our toilet, but it was fixed within a couple of hours.
There was also the small pool, that we didn't get to use because of the bad weather.
The only drawback was that the cleaning lady only appeared to clean our room when we came back to nap (after hours of not being in the room), so we couldn't let her clean the room, and this went on for all of the 3 days that we were there, but she always gave us fresh towels.
The hotel is located just at the center of this small village
(though not on the beach), so the location was great, we came back to the room in a matter of seconds to pick up something we forgot, no matter where we were.
There is not much to do in Puerto Morales, but to relax, walk around and sit in small restaurants.
Our daughter loved the hotel and loved playing with Ericka.
