Best Western quality hotel, with nice pool behind it. Good location: on the traffic circle (glorieta) where MEX HWY 199 meets the road into town and the road to the ruins. We stayed here 3/24/07 for $63 USD + tax booked on Best Western website. Total was $73.71 with the 17% tax. Was converted to Pesos, and my charge card came out to $74.47. Full American breakfast was included. Although the restaurant was packed at 7AM start of breakfast, they handled everyone efficiently, some spilling over into nearby conference room. I did need to give a credit card number on the website to hold the reservation. Three very fast Internet computers in the lobby for free guest use. Parking was in lot adjacent to the hotel. There was no elevator, and no guest rooms on the first floor. Room was clean, U.S. standards, had TV, phone, and A/C (which was not very effective, as one of the two beds was only a foot in front of this floor-level unit). There was no in-room safe box. The tap water was not potable, but bottled water was provided. Room had sliding glass door to small balcony overlooking pool. A Telmex phone was right outside the hotel. I did not see this hotel in guidebooks - not sure why. This hotel is not in town, which would be a significant walk. In the future, I might research for cheaper hotel. We picked something we know (Best Western) as we were venturing into "Chiapas", which was not all that scary once there.
