Stayed for a total of 4 days recently, in two stays of 2 nights each as we left for Blue Mountains in between. I got a real good deal on corporate rates. Booked online and had flexibility to choose all sorts of options including high/low floors, check-in time. As I flew in long-haul and arrived very early in the morning (7am), I asked for early check-in, and was pleasantly surprised that they had the room ready at that time for no additional charge.

Room was more than adequate. Nice kichenette, large bath tub, comfortable beds were key features for me.

Access to train station is good, at about 5 mins walk (Museum station) which allows easy access to airport.

Will consider coming back here for future trips.

This hotel is passable, but not really value for money. Rooms are clean and adequately furnished, but slightly on the small side. The pool area is lovely and probably the highlight.

Breakfast buffet was good but not exceptional - was very disappointed to find tepid scrambled eggs in a bain marie, rather than being made fresh.

All in all, sufficient for a Sydney hotel, but for the prices would like something a little special.

We turned up at the marriott on a Friday night without a booking after discovering the hotel we booked had allocated us a room next to a noisy lift shaft. The marriott staff found us a very comfortable room with views of Hyde Park at a reasonable rate. They were extremely helpful, courteous and helped with maps and transport plans for the following two days. A paper was sent to our room each day. The beds were the most comfortable I have slept in and the bathroom had a very large bath.We found the service and friendliness of the staff a lovely welcome to Sydney and I will definitely stay at one of their Hotels again.

My wife and I got this hotel on Priceline.com for $125 USD/night (essentially 1/2 off the price you'll find on the Marriott site) and it did not disappoint!

Features we enjoyed

- Comfortable beds
- Amazing view of downtown and Hyde Park
- Great location, only about a 10 minute walk to the Opera House
- Great service - The staff at the front desk were great! They were both helpful in providing us directions in the city they also offered us a umbrella just in case of rain which was a nice touch.

My wife also loved the large triangular tub. It was a bit too shallow for my liking but she's still raving about it and we've been home for a month already.

Would I return?
- Definitely... and most importantly I might even pay the full price. Yeah, it was that good.
