“Great Hotel, Service, and Location”

We spent a weekend at the Marriott Circular Quay and absolutely loved it! Upon entering the hotel we had help with our luggage and were able to check in at 10 AM in the morning.

Our room had very nice furniture and a great view of the Sydney Opera House. The bathroom was beautiful and included a tub AND a separate shower.

We are Marriott Gold members so we also had access to the Concierge Lounge. The lounge was great. Free breakfast in the morning and drinks and appetizers from 4 PM to 9 PM. The lounge was large and nicely stocked.

The location of the hotel is excellent. Within a block of the train station and ferries. (We took the train from the airport to the hotel)

You can see our full trip report with numerous pictures of Sydney at our sunnytripreports web site.

“Wonderful”

Stayed there in April on a special package deal offered by the hotel and advertised in The Age newspaper. It included a double room with city views, breakfasts and free valet parking (unsually costly in the centre of Sydney).

We were given a room with a great views of the bridge and harbour which was wonderful. The location is also great - a short walk to the Rocks, Circular Quay, restaurants and the gardens.

Our only complaints were that we were charged for one breakfast each day which was odd as there was two of us staying there. This was quickly sorted at check-out and no charge was made to us. Another hiccup was the rudeness of the valet parking attendant who was very rude and condescending. However, the check-in and room staff were extremely helpful and friendly and professional.

Overall, I would certainly stay there again!

“Great hotel, best location in Sydney”

The room was smallish, spotlessly clean and modern, lovely new bathroom. Lovely comfy soft bed. Sliding shutters instaed of curtains ensured proper blackout. Room service prompt and staff friendly. Main plus about this Marriott is the location though - it is less than 5 minutes walk (about 150 Metres) from Circular Quay. I had a direct view of the Harbour bridge right out of the window. I really enoyed my stay here.

“Lovely hotel”

Had a lovely stay for 4 nights in a king room. The 2 nights Fri and Sat included stunning buffet breakfast for $345 a night and then the rate increased for the Sunday and Monday but no breakfast included ?! Great view on 18th floor of Opera House and the best thing really is the location. Just a short walk to the restaurants and life of the harbour. Hint if you want a cheap breakfast and healthy lunch right next door is a great cafe !

The hotel pool says heated but it feels cold ! Ask room service for your robes as they are free for your stay and so is a shoe shine ! The desk staff are very helpful and prompt. We were able to fax information for business for free, the concierges were great and very quick to look anything up they didn't know and the taxis prompt from out the front. About $30 to the airport. Requested a late check out the night before and we were able to stay until 2pm @ no extra charge due to late flight. Lovely gesture. Handy map at the desk, short walk to the centre of town for shopping and make sure you do the Walking tour of the Rocks. The tour guides are brilliant !

Comfy bed, excellent black out facility (best in hotel ever )and rooms were clean. I would say this is a 4.5 star establishment. The atmosphere is elegant but welcoming. Looking forward to trying the Marriott in Liverpool UK later in the year !

“Super location”

We stayed here our last night in Australia, making our way back to to Sydney fly out. We stayed in Darling Harbour the first 4 nights in Sydney which was nice, but now that I know about this hotel and its location, I would stay here with no hesitation. Walking to the ferries, the Opera House and The Rocks was a breeze.

The ladies in the Executive Suite were full of great suggestions on dinner spots and made our reservations for us. We even got to see Chris Robinson who was on tour in Australia while there. A star sighting is always fun!

The room was great. Corner room with a view of the Opera House and Harbour. You can't go wrong staying at this Marriott.
