We stayed a total of four nights, including New Year's Eve. The room was spotless, the bed excellent, the bathroom large and clean with separate tub and shower. The pool on the 10th floor was exceptionally clean and pleasant. As others have mentioned, the entrance is a bit odd. You enter off Market Street between entrances to Myer's Department Store, then take an elevator to the 8th floor. But no matter. Book directly from the Swissotel website for the best prices.

Excellent reception area, excellent separate bath and shower cubicle. Clean everywhere, Bose hifi radio, big tv and Nespesso machine added to the comfort. Good staff, great breakfast (excellent range of food to choose from), great stay. Recommended.

A good hotel locationwise if you are going to Sydney for shopping. Around the corner from Pitt street Mall and across the road from QVB. It is worth checking the hotel website for good deals. Two mild criticisms (1) the hotel entry is odd as you need to take a lift to 8th floor reception and then another lift to your room. (2) On departure there was a charge for the use of the in room bar which I had not used (the staff had not checked the bar before I arrived ?). However reception had no hesitation in deleting the charge when I objected. Hotel staff cheerful and attentive. Good swimming pool. I enjoyed the stay.

I regularly stay at the Swissotel for work purposes, I have stayed at most of the major hotels in Sydney some good some terrible.

The Swissotel is always my first choice to stay, whatever they do it seems to be smooth and easy with no hassles.

I stayed once and the aircon did not work, no hassle they upgraded me next stay at no extra cost.

So what would I say if asked about the Swissotel.
